That softer pricing suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can make future resale a little more competitive for you as an owner. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less downside exposure later than someone who paid closer to the prior average. Strong condition and clean history matter even more when the market is already pricing in some depreciation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $10,740, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $11,101 average.
• It emphasizes style and brand appeal in a compact, attention-getting package.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2015 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and availability. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, the 2014 is the better value-oriented alternative, especially if you find one in clean condition.
