The Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 has existed through two generations of Mercedes-Benz’s luxury compact executive series, the C-Class. For all intents and purposes, the CLA 250 is a four-door sedan, but for some inexplicable reason, Mercedes-Benz refers to it as a “coupe.” Built in Kecskémet in Hungary, the first generation arrived here in the 2014 model year with a two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, a choice of rear-wheel drive (RWD) or 4MATIC all-wheel drive (AWD), and a seven-speed automatic transmission. The second generation debuted in the 2020 model year, again with the same engine, RWD or AWD, and a seven-speed automatic, but this one was a dual-clutch example.
