Is the 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and the expert rating is 8.2/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10. The 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE is framed as Jaguar’s first true sports coupe in four decades, with a coupe body and a focused performance image that makes it feel like a spiritual successor to the legendary E-Type. The expert assessment says it “keeps getting better” and has “done nearly everything right,” which fits a car that gets the core sports-car formula right while still leaving a few small issues to sort out. 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you do have some market flexibility.

Is the 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. Its performance hardware and chassis tuning are described as strong and confidence-inspiring, and the automatic transmission is called quick, smooth, and intuitive. The cost-effectiveness discussion also suggests that, while this is not a bargain car to own, it delivers what you pay for. What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE?

At 71.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important. You should run a vehicle history report, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, and focus on evidence of bodywork, brake wear, and how the car has been maintained. Because this is a performance-focused sports car, condition matters as much as mileage, especially on examples that may have been driven hard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base F-TYPE already brings 340 hp from a supercharged 3.0-liter V6, while the S raises output to 380 hp and adds available all-wheel drive. The R steps up to a supercharged V8 with 550 hp. Base cars are the simplest entry point, while the S adds more punch and broader capability.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a supercharged 3.0-liter V6, a higher-output version in the S, and a supercharged V8 in the R. The automatic transmission is described as quick, smooth, and intuitive, and the car offers Dynamic, Normal, and Snow drive settings.
• Safety package: The car comes with dual front and side airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, a limited-slip differential, high-performance brakes with emergency brake assist, traction control, and dynamic stability control. Optional equipment includes adaptive front lights, front sensors, a rear camera, and a blind-spot monitor.
• Infotainment: The cabin can be equipped with InControl Apps, a Meridian stereo, and available HD Radio and Sirius satellite radio. Voice control is absent, and the app system is described as limited and difficult to use.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA estimates are 19 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.
