Used 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE for SaleNationwide

Is the 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 from users and an 8.17/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10. The 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE is framed as Jaguar’s first true sports coupe in four decades, with a coupe body and a focused performance image that brings the brand back into the sports-car conversation. The expert assessment says it “keeps getting better” and has “done nearly everything right,” which fits a car that gets the core sports-car formula right while still leaving a few small issues to sort out. 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is at least some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The expert writeup also describes the car as having “only a few small issues to fix,” which points to a generally well-sorted package rather than a troubled one. The performance notes emphasize a quick, smooth, and intuitive automatic transmission, plus a stiff chassis and strong brakes that held up well on winding roads. The cost-effectiveness commentary also suggests the car delivers what you pay for in this segment. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright dependability and more about the expense of maintaining a high-performance sports car.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE?

At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important. You should run a full vehicle-history report, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, and focus on bodywork, brake condition, and evidence of hard use. Because this is a performance coupe, you also want to confirm that any optional equipment works properly and that the car has been maintained consistently.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base car already brings 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque from a supercharged 3.0-liter V6, while the S raises output to 380 hp and 339 lb-ft. The R steps up to a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with 550 hp and 502 lb-ft. The base car is the value play if you want the core experience without chasing extras.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a supercharged 3.0-liter V6, a higher-output version in the S, and a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 in the R. The automatic is described as quick, smooth, and intuitive, and the car also offers Dynamic, Normal, and Snow drive settings.
• Safety package: The car comes with dual front and side airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, a limited-slip differential, high-performance brakes with emergency brake assist, traction control, and dynamic stability control. Optional equipment includes adaptive front lights, front sensors, a rear camera, and a blind-spot monitor.
• Infotainment: The cabin can be fitted with InControl Apps, but the system is described as limited and difficult to use. The Meridian stereo is powerful for the cabin, and the tech package can include blind-spot monitoring and a rear parking camera.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA estimates are 19 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.

Which 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE trim should I buy?

The 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE is offered in 3 trim levels: F-TYPE, F-TYPE S, and F-TYPE R.

Here's the short version:

• F-TYPE: This is the entry point, but it is far from stripped down, with 340 hp and 332 lb-ft from the supercharged 3.0-liter V6. It makes the strongest case if you want the F-TYPE experience at the lowest starting point.
• F-TYPE S: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more power, with 380 hp and 339 lb-ft, while keeping the car’s core character intact. It is the sweet spot if you want the sharper performance without jumping all the way to the V8.
• F-TYPE R: This is the full-throttle choice, with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 making 550 hp and 502 lb-ft. Buy this if you want the most dramatic version and are willing to pay for it.

The safety content notes that adaptive front lights, front sensors, a rear camera, and a blind-spot monitor are optional rather than standard.

Is the 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE safe?

The car comes with dual front and side airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, a limited-slip differential, high-performance brakes with emergency brake assist, traction and dynamic stability control, and optional adaptive front lights, front sensors, a rear camera, and a blind-spot monitor. One caveat is that the safety equipment is solid for the class, but the lack of crash-test results leaves you without the reassurance of formal ratings.

Should I buy a 2015 Jaguar F-TYPE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 coupe debut gives the F-TYPE a more complete sports-car identity.

Consider the 2016 if:

• It keeps the same style and performance focus while leaning harder into the pure sports-car formula.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the right pick if you want the coupe debut year and you find a clean example with the right history. If you are price-sensitive, the 2016 is worth a look for shoppers who want the same basic appeal and are comparing nearby-year inventory closely.
