How much does the 2015 Honda CR-V cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 3,820 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2015 Honda CR-V a good car?

Generally — the 4.47/5 user rating and 8.5/10 expert rating point to a strong overall case for this model year. The CR-V’s appeal centers on its practical, roomy package, and the overview frames it as a sensible SUV that blends everyday usefulness with a polished driving feel. User feedback also repeatedly highlights the smooth ride, spacious trunk, and solid build quality, while the broader summary reinforces its comfort and features. For shoppers who want a well-rounded compact crossover that prioritizes usefulness over flash, that combination is easy to understand. Good and great deals make up 33.4% of listings, so there is still room to find a competitive price.

Is the 2015 Honda CR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.47/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to solid build quality and a reputation that aligns with Honda’s long-running emphasis on reliability and dependability. The expert review also describes the CR-V as having a strong record for dependability, and the cost-effectiveness commentary says Honda provides free roadside assistance for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles of ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that condition can vary, so a careful inspection matters even when the model’s reputation is strong.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda CR-V?

At 57% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for signs of uneven wear, accident repair, or neglected maintenance. It also makes sense to focus on the condition of the cabin, electronics, and drivetrain, since those are the areas that most affect day-to-day ownership satisfaction.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Touring trim adds a power rear liftgate, adaptive cruise control, a forward-collision mitigation system, a navigation system, and 18-inch aluminum wheels, while lower trims miss some of those convenience and safety upgrades.
• Powertrain: The CR-V uses a direct-injected 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable transmission, and the setup is tuned for smooth, peppy performance with more torque than the previous engine.
• Safety package: Honda’s safety suite includes LaneWatch camera technology, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning, and collision-mitigation braking, with some of the most advanced features reserved for the Touring trim.
• Infotainment: The CR-V uses a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth audio streaming, text-messaging support, a USB port, an auxiliary input jack, and HondaLink smartphone integration.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review says the CR-V averaged 24.8 mpg in highway driving during testing and missed the EPA combined rating of 28 mpg by 3.2 mpg.

Which 2015 Honda CR-V trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda CR-V is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the CR-V’s core practicality at the lowest price, but you should expect the fewest convenience and safety extras.
• EX: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds more everyday comfort and equipment without pushing you all the way to the top of the range.
• EX-L: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for additional comfort and features over the EX.
• Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, adding the most advanced convenience and driver-assistance features, so it suits you best if you want the most content in one package.

The Touring trim is the one that brings the full set of added safety and convenience features, including adaptive cruise control and forward-collision mitigation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda CR-V?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,820 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,525, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda CR-V's resale value?

The current average of $14,294 sits slightly above last year's $14,210.

That small increase suggests the market has stayed stable rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern is helpful because it points to predictable demand and less risk of a sudden value drop. The CR-V’s practical reputation and broad appeal also support resale strength, especially when the vehicle has been well maintained and presents cleanly.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.47/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda CR-V safe?

The 2015 Honda CR-V earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with four-star ratings for rollover resistance and front passenger protection in a frontal-impact collision, and five-star ratings in the other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda’s safety package includes LaneWatch camera technology, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning, and collision-mitigation braking. The Touring trim gets the fullest safety setup, while some of the more advanced features are not standard on lower trims. The main caveat is that the expert review finds LaneWatch overly complicated and the lane-departure warning system intrusive.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.47/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It brings a refreshed look, a more fuel-efficient engine, and added safety technology for the model year.

The bottom line: The 2015 CR-V is a strong choice if you want a well-rounded used SUV with stable pricing, broad appeal, and a good mix of practicality and safety equipment. If you are shopping mainly on price, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2015 is the better pick when you want the refreshed package and can find a clean example at the right number.
