What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Ford Fiesta?

At 61% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body condition, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because this car was offered in multiple body styles and equipment levels, it’s also worth checking that the features you want are actually present on the specific car you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Fiesta starts with the basic S and moves up through the SE, Titanium, and the exciting ST, which is hatchback-only. The hatchback is described as less awkward and more functional than the sedan, while the higher trims bring more luxury-style equipment and the ST adds the most overtly sporty character.
• Powertrain: The Fiesta offers a standard 1.6-liter 4-cylinder with 120 hp, plus a 1.0-liter EcoBoost 3-cylinder with 123 hp and 125 lb-ft of torque that is available in SE models. The EcoBoost models are manual-only, and the ST uses a turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder with 197 hp and 202 lb-ft of torque.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes 7 airbags, including a driver’s knee airbag, plus AdvanceTrac stability control and the Ford Personal Safety System. The body structure uses high-strength boron steel, and the safety content emphasizes good visibility and a nimble chassis.
• Infotainment: The Fiesta can be equipped with MyFordTouch audio with touchscreen and navigation, Ford Sync with Bluetooth audio streaming, Sync AppLink, keyless access, push-button start, and an available rear-view camera.
• Fuel efficiency: The EcoBoost engine is rated at 31 mpg city/43 highway.

Which 2015 Ford Fiesta trim should I buy?

The 2015 Ford Fiesta is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SE, Titanium, and ST.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Fiesta lineup and are comfortable keeping equipment expectations modest.
• SE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it opens the door to the 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine and keeps the Fiesta’s strongest mix of efficiency and personality within reach.
• Titanium: Choose this if you want the more upscale side of the Fiesta, since the content points to a version that can be loaded with luxury-style features and technology.
• ST: Pick this if you want the most overtly sporty Fiesta, since it is described as the exciting, hatchback-only performance model with the most powerful powertrain.

The safety content notes standard airbags, AdvanceTrac stability control, and the Ford Personal Safety System.

Should I buy a 2015 Ford Fiesta or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 update brought revised styling and the arrival of an EcoBoost model.

Consider the 2014 if:

• It feels more polished than many shoppers might expect.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the better path if you want the updated styling and the broader appeal of the EcoBoost-era Fiesta. If you are shopping on a tighter budget, the 2014 can still make sense, especially if you find one with the right equipment and a clean history.
