CarGurus Analysis: 2015 Dodge Dart
overall

Summary
With 340 currently listed for sale and an average price of $6,894.00, 26.8% of 2015 Dodge Darts for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 Dodge Dart 4.75 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.5 / 10.
53.8% of 2015 Dart models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2015 Dodge Dart stands out as a compact car that feels bigger than expected and can be fun in moments. That combination gives it a broader appeal than many budget-minded small cars, especially for buyers who want something practical without giving up all sense of personality.
For 2015, the Dart changes little from the previous year, but SXT trims gain a Blacktop appearance package. The Aero trim is the only Dart available with the 1.4-liter turbo 4-cylinder, while the 2.4-liter four is offered on the SXT, GT, and Limited trims. Those details help define the car’s range, from efficiency-focused to more performance-oriented versions, and owners often praise its sporty feel, handling, comfortable interior, and fuel efficiency.
At the same time, the Dart is described as a versatile car built on a solid platform, but one that hides a lot of its best qualities trying to please everyone. That makes it appealing in some respects, yet it also suggests the car’s strengths may not always come through as clearly as they could.

I bought 2 Dodge Dart GTs in the last 15 months for my kids. The GT is a very nice car with nice interior and excellent stereo. The gas milage is also good. The only dislike for me is the high performance tires. Not a big fan of them in wet or snowy conditions. Overall, a very good car and glad we have them.

Impressed with what power it does have. I can tell the difference between my old 2008 Charger but it definitely isn't a slow turd by far. Very responsive and does great on gas! The amount of tech and quality inside is awesome! Handles the turns pretty good.

How much does the 2015 Dodge Dart cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $6,925 |
| Year-Round Low | $6,638.46 |
| Year-Round High | $7,135.26 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $6,900 |
| Change vs. Last Year | +0.37% |
Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.
There are 345 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy. If you find a listing below $6,638.46, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2015 Dodge Dart a good car?
Yes — the 2015 Dodge Dart earns a 4.75/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.
Owners consistently praise its sporty feel, handling, comfortable interior, and fuel efficiency. The Dart also stands out as a compact car that feels bigger than expected, which helps if you want a practical daily driver with a little personality. For shoppers who want a budget-minded small car that still feels roomy and engaging, that combination is the main appeal. 21.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2015 Dodge Dart reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. In user feedback, the Dart is described as dependable in the ways that matter to many shoppers, with praise centered on its comfortable interior, fuel efficiency, and sporty driving character. The expert drive notes also point to a solid platform and a car that can feel reassuring in everyday use.
The cost-effectiveness notes add a caution: some owners have reported transmission problems and electronic gremlins. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is worth checking carefully through records and a thorough pre-purchase inspection.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Dodge Dart?
At 53.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a hands-on inspection of bodywork, alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because some owners have reported transmission problems and electronic gremlins, it also makes sense to focus on how the car drives, shifts, and behaves under normal use. If you can, compare several examples so you can separate a clean, well-kept Dart from one that has been repaired after damage.

- Trim level: The SE is the base trim and gets the simplest setup, while the SXT adds a 2.4-liter engine, Bluetooth connectivity, steering-wheel-mounted controls, and cruise control. The Aero is the efficiency-focused choice with a 1.4-liter turbo engine, and the Limited adds convenience-minded upgrades such as an 8-inch touchscreen, power seats, 17-inch wheels, and a 7-inch multifunction display. The GT is the performance model with a tuned suspension, revised engine calibration, black front fascia, 18-inch wheels, and Nappa leather.
- Powertrain: You get three engine choices: a 2.0-liter four in the SE, a 1.4-liter turbo four in the Aero, and a 2.4-liter four in the SXT, GT, and Limited. The 1.4-liter turbo is the only engine in the Aero and can be paired with a manual or dual-clutch automatic, while the 2.4-liter is the strongest option and is described as smooth and linear.
- Safety package: The Dart comes standard with driver and passenger airbags, including knee airbags, antilock brakes, child seat latches, electronic stability control, and traction control. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, and parking-assist features are available as an option in Limited and GT trims.
- Infotainment: The Dart includes a 7-inch multifunction display in higher trims, and pricier Aero, GT, and Limited models get an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen. The SE has only 4 speakers, while most trims get a 6-speaker Uconnect AM/FM/CD radio.
- Fuel efficiency: The 1.4-liter turbo can return more than 40 mpg on the highway when driven carefully, the 2.0-liter manages well into the 30-mpg range on the highway, and the 2.4-liter is estimated in the mid-30s on the highway and low-20s in the city.
Which 2015 Dodge Dart trim should I buy?
The 2015 Dodge Dart is offered in 5 trim levels: SE, SXT, Aero, Limited, GT.
Here's the short version:
- SE: This is the cheapest way into the Dart, but it is also the most basic. You get the 2.0-liter engine, manual transmission, 16-inch steel wheels, a CD player, and a USB port, so it makes sense if your priority is low entry cost over features.
- SXT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the 2.4-liter engine, Bluetooth connectivity, steering-wheel-mounted controls, and cruise control without jumping into the pricier models. It is also the biggest seller, which usually makes it the easiest trim to shop for.
- Aero: Choose this if fuel economy matters most. It is the only trim with the 1.4-liter turbo engine, and it is aimed at drivers who want the most efficiency-focused Dart.
- Limited: This is the comfort-and-tech upgrade. The 8-inch touchscreen, power seats, 7-inch multifunction display, and 17-inch wheels make it feel more upscale than the lower trims.
- GT: Pick this if you want the sportiest version. The tuned suspension, revised engine calibration, black fascia, 18-inch wheels, and Nappa leather give it the most performance-oriented personality in the lineup.
The optional safety suite with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, and parking-assist features is available only on Limited and GT trims.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Dodge Dart?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong example.
- Deal availability: 21.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 345 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 53.6% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $6,638.46, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Dodge Dart's resale value?
The current average of $6,925 sits slightly above last year's $6,900.
That small increase suggests the Dart has held its value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of stability can be helpful because it points to a market that is predictable instead of volatile. If you buy well and keep the car in good condition, you are more likely to preserve value than if you chase a model with bigger price swings.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 Dodge Dart safe?
The Dart received Good ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with four-star ratings in rollover crash testing.
It earns a 8/10 safety score from our experts.
The Dart comes standard with driver and passenger airbags, including knee airbags, antilock brakes, child seat latches, electronic stability control, and traction control. An additional safety suite with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, and parking-assist features is available on Limited and GT trims. The main caveat is the Acceptable result in the small-overlap crash test, which is the area you should keep in mind if safety is a top priority.
Should I buy a 2015 Dodge Dart or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 21.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 53.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It adds a Blacktop appearance package on SXT trims and keeps the Dart’s roomy, sporty character intact.
Consider the 2014 if:
- At $6,887, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $6,925 average.
- It emphasizes stronger safety and a more polished infotainment setup.
Consider the 2016 if:
- At $7,190, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $6,925 average.
- It leans harder into big-car space and efficiency-focused practicality.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price stability, owner satisfaction, and trim variety, the 2015 is the sensible default. If your budget is tighter, the 2014 can save you a little money, while the 2016 makes sense if you want to spend more for a slightly newer model year and can justify the higher asking price.
