How much does the 2015 Dodge Charger cost?

Is the 2015 Dodge Charger a good car?

Generally — the 2015 Dodge Charger earns a 4.18/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Cost effectiveness.

Owners repeatedly praise the spacious interior, strong performance, and the V6’s power and smooth driving feel. The Charger’s aggressive styling and everyday usability also come through in the feedback, even as some shoppers wish for more features and a lower price.

That mix fits the Charger’s role as a full-size sedan with muscle-car attitude: you get broad practicality, but also enough personality and performance to make it stand out. With 25.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.18/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car people can count on for strong performance and a spacious cabin, and it also highlights the Charger’s generally dependable everyday appeal. The expert performance notes reinforce that the V6 is manageable and sane for daily use, while the cost-effectiveness commentary adds that the Charger has been recognized for residual value.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t been overused or neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Dodge Charger?

At 48.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, safety equipment, and any signs of prior repair. Because the Charger can be optioned in many ways, condition matters as much as trim level, especially if you want the features that make the car feel complete.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE uses 17-inch wheels, while the SXT gets 18-inch wheels and the rest of the lineup gets 20-inch wheels; the base trim also misses out on some of the more upscale visual and equipment touches.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter V6 makes 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, uses an 8-speed automatic, and is the only engine available with AWD; the V6 returns 19 mpg city/31 mpg highway with RWD or 18/27 with AWD.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes front and side curtain airbags, a driver knee airbag, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, pre-tensioning and height-adjusting seatbelts, and rear child-seat anchors; lane-departure warning, frontal-collision warning, and backup cameras are optional.
• Infotainment: UConnect is standard, with an optional 8.4-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch multifunction driver display; the driver display is crisp and helpful, while the touchscreen is starting to show its age.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 returns 19 mpg city/31 mpg highway with RWD or 18/27 with AWD, while the 5.7-liter V8 returns 16/25 mpg and the 6.4-liter V8 returns 15/25 mpg.

Which 2015 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2015 Dodge Charger is offered in 8 trim levels: SE, SXT, R/T, R/T Road & Track, R/T Scat Pack, SRT 392, Hellcat, and Rallye AWD.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, and it keeps the Charger affordable while still giving you the core full-size-sedan experience. It makes sense if you want the look and space first, but it is the least feature-rich choice.
• SXT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more features than the SE while staying with the V6 and keeping the Charger easy to live with. If you want the sweet spot between price, comfort, and everyday usability, this is the one to target.
• R/T: This is where the Charger starts leaning harder into muscle-car character, thanks to the 5.7-liter V8 Hemi. Choose it if you want stronger performance without jumping all the way to the high-output trims.
• R/T Road & Track: This trim builds on the R/T formula and is aimed at buyers who want a more performance-focused V8 Charger. It suits you if you want extra attitude and capability over the standard R/T.
• R/T Scat Pack: This is the serious performance pick, with the 6.4-liter V8 shared with the SRT 392. It is the right choice if you want the strongest blend of straight-line speed and value in the upper end of the lineup.
• SRT 392: This trim adds bigger brakes, suspension tuning, and SRT-only interior packages. Choose it if you want the more focused performance hardware and a more specialized cabin.
• Hellcat: This is the extreme choice, with the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 and the most outrageous performance in the lineup. It is for buyers who want the Charger at its most dramatic and are willing to pay for it.
• Rallye AWD: This is the AWD V6 setup with a strong technology loadout, and it makes sense if you want all-weather usability without giving up the Charger’s personality.

The safety equipment is standard across the lineup, but the more advanced driver-assistance features are spread across multiple packages and can add significantly to the final price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Dodge Charger?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 25.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 780 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 48.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,421, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Dodge Charger’s resale value?

The current average of $13,110 sits slightly below last year's $13,559.

That softer pricing suggests the Charger is in a buyer-friendly phase right now, which can help you if you are shopping used. For a future seller, it means you should expect some pressure on resale unless your car is especially clean, well equipped, or in a desirable trim.

The Charger still has appeal because it combines strong performance with broad practicality, and that helps support demand over time. If you buy well and keep the car in good condition, you should have a better shot at holding value than you would with a less distinctive full-size sedan.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.18/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Dodge Charger safe?

The Charger is rated Good by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes front and side curtain airbags, a driver knee airbag, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, pre-tensioning and height-adjusting seatbelts, and rear child-seat anchors. Optional features include lane-departure warning, frontal-collision warning, and backup cameras, but many of the active-safety features are bundled into separate packages that can push the price up.

The main caveat is that the more advanced safety tech is not broadly standard, so you need to check the exact equipment on any used example you are considering.

Should I buy a 2015 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 25.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.18/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds a sleeker front end and a more aggressive look while keeping the Charger approachable.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $10,238, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $13,110 average.
• It pairs bold styling with a more sophisticated driving character.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $15,468, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,110 average.
• It is presented as a more satisfying family sedan with stronger perceived value.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, performance, and personality, the 2015 is the primary year to target. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2014 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2016 is worth a look.
