Car didn’t shift properly. Transmission was jumpy. Interior was rough.

The only car comparable to a Chevy Suburban is the GMC Yukon XL. It is roomy, there is plenty of room behind the third row that no other SUV or van can offer. Carry 6-7 folks comfortably, plus all the pets, luggage, coolers, fishing/hunting/whatever gear you travel with. The ride is smooth, the technology is amazing. In the mountains it handles well with decline braking and hill start assist. It can tow a fairly large load without problems, we are towing a smaller SUV on a car dolly now through the mountains and barely can tell it’s back there, still maintaining 13-14 MPG. It’s smooth, comfortable, and perfect for a family. We’ve had 3 suburbans now, with a Kia Sorento, GMC Yukon (the shorter version) and a Ford Flex in between. The suburban is likely the only family ride we will own (unless they bring back the excursion).
