How much does the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu cost?

Prices have softened 4.44% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,031 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its comfort, handling, good acceleration, and storage space, and the Malibu’s roomy cabin and practical everyday layout fit well if you want an easy-to-live-with midsize sedan. Its family-sedan mission is reinforced by straightforward features and useful tech, while the pricing remains appealing for the segment. With 25.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with drivers calling out comfort, handling, and good acceleration alongside the Malibu’s practical storage space. That kind of feedback suggests you should focus on maintenance history and overall condition, since a well-kept example is more likely to deliver trouble-free long-term use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Chevrolet Malibu?

At 52.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any car that looks especially clean on paper. Pay close attention to body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the features and trim level match what you expect from the listing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Chevrolet Malibu?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 25.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,031 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.44% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 52.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,341, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Chevrolet Malibu's resale value?

The current average of $8,396 sits slightly below last year's $8,786.

That softer pricing suggests the Malibu is still accessible on the used market, but it also means future sellers may need to stay competitive on asking price. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect your resale position when it’s time to move on. Demand should remain supported by the model’s practical cabin, comfort, and broad appeal to everyday shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 25.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $7,754, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $8,396 average.
• It emphasizes comfort, value, and a composed driving feel.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $9,614, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $8,396 average.
• It brings a more modern redesign with stronger tech and safety upgrades.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the best all-around pick if you want a balanced mix of price, comfort, and owner satisfaction. If your budget is tighter, the 2014 is the better value play; if you want a newer-feeling Malibu and can spend more, the 2016 is the stronger upgrade path.
