That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. Should I buy a 2015 Buick LaCrosse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.1/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,086, the 2014 costs more than the current year's $10,998 average.
• It emphasizes calm, composed road manners and an upscale feel.

The bottom line:
You should start with the 2015 if you want the better current value and a broader pool of listings to compare. If you're especially price-sensitive, the 2014 is worth a look only when its condition and equipment justify paying more than the 2015 average.
