CarGurus Analysis: 2015 Audi Q7

Summary
With 47 currently listed for sale near New York, NY and an average price of $11,182.00, 10.6% of 2015 Audi Q7s for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 Audi Q7 4.64 / 5 stars.
68.1% of 2015 Q7 models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2015 Audi Q7 stands out as a three-row luxury SUV that blends everyday drivability with Audi’s clean, understated design. It was built for pavement use with some light-duty off-roading thrown in, and it came with standard quattro all-wheel drive. For buyers who wanted a large SUV that felt more polished than rugged, that combination was a major part of its appeal.
By 2015, the first-generation Q7 had already benefited from Audi’s 2011 powertrain update, which replaced the earlier V6 and V8 engines with new supercharged V6 engines and an eight-speed automatic gearbox. That change improved fuel economy, even if it still fell short of the diesel model’s efficiency. The Q7 also offered comfortable front and second-row seating, while the third row was cramped for adults and left only 10.9 cubic feet of cargo space in use. With the seats folded, cargo room expanded to 42 cubic feet, or 72.5 cubic feet with the second row flattened.
Technology and ownership costs are where the 2015 Q7 feels most like an older luxury SUV. Its infotainment system could handle Bluetooth with wireless music streaming, and some versions had a Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, but its tech suite was modest by modern standards. Owners commonly praise the smooth ride, luxury feel, and strong performance, especially with the turbo engine, but premium fuel and higher maintenance costs remain important drawbacks for shoppers to consider.

Very comfortable and many great options. I am a rather large Audi fan and would recommend this to anyone looking for a luxury 7 seater. With that being said, repairs in this class are not cheap. Really not cheap! Either buy it with a complete warranty or keep $5k in a savings account for when something may break. For example, rotors and pads alone, just the parts, is close to $1k. Its the cost of ownership that stops me from giving it 5 stars. A wise man once said, if you cant afford to buy it new, you probably cant afford to drive it used.

Sharp car’s features. The car was somewhat pricey but excellent condition. Had all the bells and whistles, nothing missing. Haven’t checked out any other models therefore no comparison that’s why I gave it that rating. Great car. I recommend it to anyone wanting to buy one.

The most amazing 5 year old SUV out there, especially the TDI, which was the Q7s, last year to offer a diesel, The Q7s interior is splendid, but most are ruined in black, which I dislike immensely for lack of all contrast and definition. It handles like a sports car and is supremely satisfying to drive. The 2015 model was the last of the truly good looking Q7s. The 2017 models are just plain ugly, a vain attempt to improve a beautiful design. The 2015 Audi Q7 is in a class all its own. Plenty of these have fewer than 40K miles so dont get in a hurry and compromise on high mileage. Ignore all negative comments and double all the positive ones on this car. You will love it!

Very smooth ride. Just floats down the road. Main controls take a bit of getting used to since they are on the center console rather than near the display screen. Would have preferred to see USB ports rather than standard 12V charging ports. One downfall is the required use of Premium gas.

How much does the 2015 Audi Q7 cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $10,896 |
| Year-Round Low | $10,807.34 |
| Year-Round High | $12,033.92 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $12,022 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −9.36% |
Prices have softened 9.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 288 listings available, which gives you a useful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
If you find a listing below $10,807.34, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2015 Audi Q7 a good car?
Yes — the 4.64/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise the smooth ride, luxury feel, and powerful performance, especially with the turbo engine, while also highlighting the well-built interior and overall driving experience. For you, that makes the Q7 a strong fit if you want a three-row luxury SUV that feels polished in everyday driving rather than especially rugged. With 26.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2015 Audi Q7 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.64/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also leans toward dependable day-to-day use, with repeated praise for the SUV’s smooth operation, strong performance, and well-built feel. At the same time, the same reviews point to higher maintenance costs and premium fuel as part of the ownership experience, so long-term value depends on how well the vehicle has been maintained.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic satisfaction and more about whether prior upkeep has been consistent enough to keep ownership costs under control.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Audi Q7?
At 62.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on maintenance condition, signs of prior repair quality, and any wear that could affect long-term ownership costs. Because this model is a luxury SUV with owner-reported maintenance and fuel-cost concerns, condition matters as much as mileage.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Audi Q7?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.
- Deal availability: 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 288 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 9.36% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 62.8% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $10,807.34, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Audi Q7's resale value?
The current average of $10,896 sits slightly below last year's $12,022.
That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, that means condition, maintenance history, and clean records matter even more because they help your Q7 stand out in a market where prices have eased. If you keep the vehicle well maintained, you give yourself a better chance of preserving value when it is time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2015 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 62.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 9.36% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2015 if you want a well-liked, value-conscious entry into this generation of Q7 and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the softer market and decent deal availability make this a reasonable year to target, but you should be selective and prioritize clean history and strong maintenance records over the lowest sticker price.
