At 52% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident or title issues. Should I buy a 2014 Toyota Avalon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 52% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.00% year-over-year.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2014 if you want a comfortable, well-liked Avalon with solid market support and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition.
