Why it stands out
The 2014 Toyota 4Runner remains a distinct choice in the traditional SUV segment, standing strong against the growing popularity of crossovers. It combines the ruggedness of a truck-based SUV with the comfort of a daily driver, effectively serving outdoor enthusiasts and family handlers alike. The vehicle is powered by a 4.0-liter V6 that produces 270 horsepower and offers a capable 5-speed automatic transmission, ensuring reliable performance on both highways and tough terrains. With a spacious interior that boasts up to 89.7 cubic feet of cargo space and a suite of features designed for practicality, the 4Runner successfully navigates the balance between ruggedness and functionality. While it excels in terms of durability and off-road prowess, drivers may find the interior controls to be a bit unconventional and challenging to maneuver during trips. Overall, the 4Runner's strong resale value and loyal following underscore its status as a go-to choice for those seeking a versatile, adventure-ready SUV.

Great vehicle overall. Very solid drivetrain. I wouldn’t compare it to much. I own a 2006 with 320k and running strong.

I love this car, i've just decided i need something a little smaller for my family. We had plenty of space on our family vacation and got great gas mileage on the highway (24MPG). Only thing i wish it had was a power lift gate.

It’s a comfortable vehicle. I like all the features it comes with. It rides smoothly. I’m so happy with the heated seats. I don’t care for the moonroof but it wasn’t a feature that made me not want to buy this model.
