Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2014 Nissan Juke 4.29 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.17 / 10.

Why it stands out
The 2014 Nissan Juke stands out immediately for its unconventional styling. It has been turning heads since it debuted in 2010, and its love-it-or-hate-it look gives it a personality that is unusual in this class. That distinctive character is part of the appeal for buyers who want something with more visual flair than the typical compact crossover.
Beyond the styling, the Juke is notable for engaging performance and a budget price. It brings a sense of moxie to driving, and owners commonly praise its fun driving experience, responsive handling, compact size, and driving modes. At the same time, its drawbacks are hard to ignore: poor cargo capacity and disappointing fuel economy are clear compromises, and some owners also mention road noise and limited space for families.

Pretty decent car for the value. I have a 2014 Nissan Juke SV with the manual transmission. (Avoid the automatic version of these Nissan at all cost) It actually is decently equipped, it comes with powered windows, powered locks, a sunroof, driver's seat adjustment is electrically powered, comes with Eco and Sport mode as well as traction control and hand free Bluetooth for phone calls. The Push Button Start feature makes it very easy to just get near the car and unlock/lock it and starting it without ever having to reach for your keys. The only things I wish my Juke had was a backup camera. It being a small 1.6 4 cylinder engine means I can easily get an average of 33.3 MPG mostly on city and little highway. It being the size it is means you can very easily park almost easily, and it's short wheelbase ensures you can easily glide through the narrowrests of streets in urban tight cities. Something to keep in mind is that this car is definitely more for the City than it is a highway cruiser, so if you mainly do City driving.. this car is definitely one to keep in mind. :) I do sometimes wish you could get the fully loaded SL that included AWD, Navigation, Leather Seats without being forced to get the CVT variant. While having an Aux Input is nice.. having a Bluetooth Sound System is always better. ;) If you are in the market for a Renault Duster or a Hyundai Tucson.. consider the Juke as a nice alternative. :)

The car has an aggressive look with great styling. I get complements on it all the time! The handling is very responsive and has all the features of a sports car that you would expect, especially the d mode! It allows you to choose how your car drives and handles.

Generally — the 2014 Nissan Juke earns a 4.29/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.
Owners consistently praise the Juke’s unique styling, fun driving experience, responsive handling, compact size, and driving modes. That lines up with the Juke’s role as a distinctive compact crossover for you if you want something with more personality than the typical commuter SUV.
The market also shows 29.9% of listings as good or great deals, so you have some room to shop selectively while still finding value.
Is the 2014 Nissan Juke reliable?
Owners rate it 4.29/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience centered on the Juke’s fun driving character, compact size, and responsive handling. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Juke “motivates quite well” in stock form and that the manual transmission is especially well executed.
For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about living with the Juke’s compromises, especially its limited cargo space and fuel economy.
What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Nissan Juke?
At 59.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body condition, repair quality, and signs of prior damage. Because the Juke’s appeal depends so much on its distinctive shape and compact packaging, you should also pay close attention to how well the cabin and cargo area fit your needs.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base S trim keeps things simple with keyless entry, full power, Bluetooth, and a 6-speaker stereo, while the SV adds push-button start, satellite radio, and the I-CON system for climate and drive modes. The SL adds heated seats and automatic head- and foglights, so the lower trims are the ones where you feel the biggest feature gaps.
- Powertrain: The Juke uses a 188-hp, 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with 177 lb-ft of torque. You can get a CVT or a 6-speed manual, and all-wheel drive is available with the CVT while the manual is front-wheel drive only.
- Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes 6 airbags, antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, and active front head restraints. The Juke also earns a Good rating from IIHS, but its NHTSA results include a 4-star overall rating and a 3-star frontal-impact rating.
- Infotainment: The Navigation Package adds a 5.8-inch touchscreen, voice recognition, a rear-view monitor, and real-time traffic monitoring. It also brings NissanConnect and an upgraded Rockford Fosgate sound system with USB connection.
- Fuel efficiency: The Juke is rated at 25 mpg city/31 highway, and the expert review notes that real-world fuel economy can fall well short of that.
Which 2014 Nissan Juke trim should I buy?
The 2014 Nissan Juke is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, SL.
Here's the short version:
- S: This is the simplest way into the Juke, but it still gives you keyless entry, full power, Bluetooth, and a 6-speaker stereo. Choose it if you want the lowest-cost path into the model and can live without the convenience upgrades.
- SV: This is the best-value trim because it adds push-button start, satellite radio, and the I-CON system for climate and drive modes. If you want the Juke’s personality plus more everyday convenience, this is the trim to target.
- SL: This trim adds heated seats and automatic head- and foglights, so it makes the Juke feel more polished and better equipped for colder or darker conditions. Pick it if those comfort and visibility upgrades matter to you.
Standard safety equipment includes 6 airbags, antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, and active front head restraints.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Juke?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.
- Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 374 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.22% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 59.6% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $7,367, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 Nissan Juke's resale value?
The current average of $7,769 sits slightly below last year's $8,197.
That decline suggests the Juke is currently in a softer pricing phase, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the vehicle in clean condition, because the market is already pricing in some depreciation.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.29/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2014 Nissan Juke safe?
The 2014 Nissan Juke earns a Good rating from IIHS and a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with three-star frontal-impact protection and five-star side-impact protection.
It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.
Standard safety equipment includes 6 airbags, antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, and active front head restraints. The main caveat is the weaker frontal crash result, which is worth weighing carefully if safety is a top priority for you.
Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Juke or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 59.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.22% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.29/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
- The 2014 combines distinctive styling with engaging performance and a budget-friendly price.
Consider the 2015 if:
- At $8,949, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $7,769 average.
- It keeps the same unusual styling but adds a stronger emphasis on safety-tech concerns and space limitations.
The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2014 is the smarter starting point because pricing has softened and there are enough listings to shop selectively. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year, the 2015 is the alternative to compare, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2014 first.
