overall

Summary
With 292 currently listed for sale and an average price of $11,376, 28.1% of 2014 INFINITI Q50s for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2014 INFINITI Q50 4.78 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it an 8.5 / 10.
45.9% of 2014 Q50 models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2014 INFINITI Q50 stands out as the car that brings Infiniti’s new naming, styling, and technology directions together in one aggressive luxury sedan. It arrives with the brand’s new Q naming from the start, and its angular headlights and prominent grille are described as the clearest expression of the Infiniti Essence concept to date. The result is a sedan meant to signal a fresh era for the brand while still aiming to feel distinctive and upscale.
It also leans heavily on technology, with the source emphasizing that the Q50 has more tech features than a U.S. Air Force communications AWACS. That abundance of equipment helps give the car a modern, well-equipped character, and the overall impression is of a sedan that combines looks, tech, and performance in a way meant to be especially compelling. Owners echo that appeal, often praising its sporty performance, precise handling, elegant interior design, and value as a luxury car.
There are some tradeoffs to keep in mind. Owner feedback points to tight rear seating, ride smoothness concerns, and potentially high repair costs. Even so, the 2014 INFINITI Q50’s blend of bold styling, strong feature content, and sporty character makes it a notable choice for buyers who want a luxury sedan with a more assertive personality.

Has lots of handy features, only missing one thing and that’s remote start. Not all models especially of that year come with it so not a big deal. It’s of great value compared to other cars.

Pros: Nice looking inside and out, great electric features, powerful engine, great acceleration and handling, 4 different drive modes: personal( a setting that you can set specifically for your liking) Eco, Sport, and Snow. Cons: back seating is a little tight(leg room), not the smoothest ride, as in you feel every bump on the road. expensive to fix the simplest of things.

Is the 2014 INFINITI Q50 a good car?
Yes — the 2014 INFINITI Q50 earns a 4.78/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating.
The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.
Owners consistently praise its sporty performance, precise handling, and elegant interior design. The overview also frames it as a distinctive luxury sedan with bold styling and strong tech content, which helps explain why it appeals if you want a car that feels more expressive than ordinary. With 27.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you room to shop selectively.
Is the 2014 INFINITI Q50 reliable?
Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
Owner feedback points to a great-value luxury car with sporty performance, a range of features, and a powerful engine. It also highlights precise handling and an elegant interior design, while the expert drive notes reinforce the Q50’s competent, tech-forward character and its strong performance focus.
The Q50’s technology and engineering suggest a car built to impress over time, but used buyers should still weigh repair exposure carefully because long-term ownership costs can be a meaningful part of the equation.
What should I look for when buying a used 2014 INFINITI Q50?
At 47.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing cars with similar prices. Focus on condition details that matter most in a luxury sedan: interior wear, electronics behavior, and evidence of prior bodywork or repair quality. Because the Q50’s appeal depends heavily on its tech and overall presentation, a clean, well-kept example is especially important.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Base trim includes Bluetooth phone connectivity, dual digital control panels, an intelligent key system, satellite radio, and a reversing camera, while the Premium trim adds heated front seats, a power moonroof, and a 14-speaker premium stereo. The S trims add a sport-tuned suspension, sport bucket seats, sport brakes, and other performance-focused equipment, so the base car is the one most likely to feel lightest on features.
- Powertrain: The Q50 uses a 3.7-liter VQ-V6 with 328 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. The setup is quick and efficient enough for the class, with listed fuel economy of 19 mpg city, 27 highway, and 22 combined for the AWD model.
- Safety package: The Q50 includes a crash-predicting system, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, frontal crash-prevention sensors, an overhead parking camera system, and rear cross-path warning. Those features make the car feel unusually advanced for its era.
- Infotainment: The cabin uses dual touchscreens, with the top screen focused on navigation and the lower screen handling audio and climate controls. There is also a dedicated control knob by the shifter, though the system is described as having some boot-up hiccups.
- Fuel efficiency: The AWD model is listed at 19 mpg city, 27 highway, and 22 combined.
Which 2014 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?
The 2014 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 4 trim levels: Base, Premium, Q50S, Q50S AWD.
Here's the short version:
- Base: This is the value play if you want the Q50’s core luxury-sedan formula at the lowest entry price. You still get Bluetooth, dual digital control panels, an intelligent key system, satellite radio, and a reversing camera, so it covers the essentials well.
- Premium: This is the best-value trim if you want the Q50 to feel more complete without jumping into the sportier models. Heated front seats, a power moonroof, and a 14-speaker premium stereo make it the most balanced choice for many shoppers.
- Q50S: Choose this if you want the sportier setup, since it adds a sport-tuned suspension, sport bucket seats, sport brakes, and other go-fast bits. It makes the car feel more performance-oriented than the lower trims.
- Q50S AWD: Pick this if you want the Q50S character with all-weather traction. It keeps the sport-focused equipment while adding AWD capability.
The safety content highlights a crash-predicting system plus blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, frontal crash-prevention sensors, an overhead parking camera system, and rear cross-path warning.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 INFINITI Q50?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find decent opportunities.
- Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 297 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.80% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 47.5% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $11,206.74, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 INFINITI Q50's resale value?
The current average of $11,364 sits slightly below last year's $12,193.
That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more affordable for you now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you can help protect value better than the broader market trend suggests. The Q50’s strong feature content and sporty appeal should continue to support demand among used luxury shoppers.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2014 INFINITI Q50 safe?
It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
The Q50’s safety content centers on a crash-predicting system that can detect trouble ahead, along with blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, frontal crash-prevention sensors, an overhead parking camera system, and rear cross-path warning. That combination gives you a broad set of driver-assistance tools for the class.
The main caveat is that the car’s advanced safety tech is a major part of its appeal, so you should verify that all systems work properly during a test drive and inspection.
Should I buy a 2014 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 47.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.80% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2014 introduces Infiniti’s new naming, styling, and technology direction in one aggressive luxury sedan.
Consider the 2015 if:
- At $13,173, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $11,364 average.
- It offers a broader range of personalities, from comfortable all-weather performer to fast sports sedan.
The bottom line: If you want the lower-priced entry point and the original version of the Q50’s bold design-and-tech formula, the 2014 makes sense. If you’re willing to spend more for a broader personality range, the 2015 is the better alternative; if price matters most, the 2014 is the smarter buy.
