Used 2014 INFINITI Q50 for Sale near Akron, OH
With the Q50, all three of Infiniti’s latest major campaigns (naming, styling and tech) converge in one aggressive and smart luxury sedan.
What’s in a name? If you are employed in Infiniti’s marketing department, that question has been a source of frustration and ire as of late. The Japanese luxury brand has renamed its entire lineup for the 2014 model year. Letters like M, G, JK and others have all been replaced with Q and QX. Infiniti has done this for a number of reasons, but it means re-educating itself and others on every single model.
Luckily for Infiniti, the new Q50 takes on the new lettering from the start. With the Q50, all three of Infiniti’s latest major campaigns (naming, styling and tech) converge in one aggressive and smart luxury sedan. First is the name– some may argue the Q50 replaces the G37, but the G will continue to be sold (as the Q60) for the next year (maybe more), so this is a standalone model. The second is the styling—the angular headlights and demonstrative grill have been the most pure manifestation of the Infiniti Essence concept to date. Finally, there is the technology—the Q50 has more tech features than a U.S. Air Force communications AWACS. These elements conspire to deliver an extremely competent luxury sedan, with the looks, the tech and the performance to excite. With the changes in corporate styling and naming conventions, this is the perfect car to usher in this new era for Infiniti.
4.5 Overall rating
(27 reviews)It’s a good car. Has all the bells and whistles. I like it but prefer a Subaru.
The Q50 is an excellent vehicle. This car is a dream drive.
Pros: Nice looking inside and out, great electric features, powerful engine, great acceleration and handling, 4 different drive modes: personal( a setting that you can set specifically for your liking) Eco, Sport, and Snow. Cons: back seating is a little tight(leg room), not the smoothest ride, as in you feel every bump on the road. expensive to fix the simplest of things.
The q50 is definitely a smart buy!! Honestly if you dont care too much about the name brand and badge of other (more expensive luxury options) I would recomend buying this. It has all the features you look for in a high end car plus its performance out does any other luxury option offered at its price point. [I compare this to bmw 5 series, mercedes benz E class, audi a5 or entry level a6 and lexus gs] Not to mention the fact that they retain there value better. Infiniti has really done a great job with the q50 and I encourage others to take the dive and save some money. I promise that its a great drive, has precise handling and good power. Very reliable with normal maintenance!
Great looking mid-sized car, very good performance (328HP), very good handling and cornering, comfortable for around town and shorter trips, nice sounding audio system - Satellite stations were very clear and had a good mix of treble, mid-ranges and bass, driving mode selector was great for longer/highway trips to increase fuel mileage. If you've had a car with a key fob that allows you to unlock your doors by pushing a button on the handle, the Q will take a little getting used to. Just touching the handle unlocks the driver's door, then pushing the button unlocks the rest - however if you push the button at the wrong time (maybe when not touching the door) it can lock the doors when you think it's unlocking the doors. So, just grab the handle, then push the button. Seems simple but I somehow kept locking all the doors for the first couple of days. As said, fun to drive, was reliable, comfortable and nicely designed, inside and out. Worth a try if you're in the market for a mid-sized four door - you'll be surprised by the performance vs the price when comparing to a BMW, Audi or Benz. Hope you enjoy it!
