How much does the 2014 Hyundai Sonata cost?

There are 1,181 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Sonata a good car?

Yes — the 2014 Hyundai Sonata earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its sporty performance, stylish design, and good fuel efficiency, and many also value the available features and overall value for money. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a roomy midsize sedan with comfort and equipment that fit everyday commuting or family use. With 28.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Hyundai Sonata reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback also highlights reliability and value for money, which suggests many owners have found it dependable in regular use. That said, used buyers should still think about long-term ownership risk carefully, especially by checking maintenance history and overall condition before committing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Hyundai Sonata?

At 54.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to body condition, signs of prior repair, and how well the car has been maintained. If you are comparing multiple listings, focus on the ones with the cleanest history and the most consistent condition rather than just the lowest price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Hyundai Sonata?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,181 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $7,718, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Hyundai Sonata's resale value?

The current average of $7,790 sits slightly below last year's $8,084.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy at a better entry point now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and history than it would be in a stronger market. If you keep the car well maintained and choose a clean example, you improve your odds of holding value better than the average listing.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Hyundai Sonata or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $8,818, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $7,790 average.
• It feels more polished inside and out.

The bottom line: If your priority is value, the 2014 is the better starting point because it offers a lower average price and still has strong owner satisfaction. If you want a more refined feel and are willing to pay more, the 2015 is the better alternative; if you are price-sensitive, the 2014 is the smarter buy.
