2013 Honda Insight EX Review
by kcaraballo22

Great commuter car!

I really love driving the Honda Insight. It is small enough to have all of the perks of a compact, but drives like a race car. The CVT took a little getting used to, but it is awesome to not waste gas at red lights or when traffic is stopped. Gas mileage is amazing--only $20 to fill the tank with gas prices like they are now!

Avg. Dealer Rating: (23 reviews) "Very unprofessional experience with an older salesman there. Salesman treated us as if we were unable to purchase vehicle. He was told up front we were already approved elsewhere with our financing. Kept pushing the issue of getting financed there. I asked for a copy of the purchase order to provide to my loan officer, we never got it from him. When presenting the purchase order to me he stated I need your signature and I asked for what. He said to get the vehicle. We had not made our final decision and therefore was not comfortable in signing anything. Salesman kept replying well if your credit is as good as you say it is we can get this done here today and get you in the vehicle. Once again we already had our financing through our credit union. A couple of days later my husband spoke with him on possibly lowering the price. The salesman stated , so the credit union will only give you that amount. So apparently he didn't listen to a thing we told him a couple of days ago. We were already preapproved at our credit union and told to go pick out our vehicle. His assumptions and unprofessional behavior lost a sale. Not to mention he hardly knew anything when asked about the vehicle and we never told him what amount we were approved for, we definitely would not have test driven a vehicle out of our price range. We asked why we're the headrest so uncomfortable he didn't know but suggested removing them or turning them backwards. The salesman called back and at the end of this unpleasant conversation with the salesman he told my husband he would have to come out his pocket with 1500.00. Once again why when we told him we already had our financing handled through our credit union. Once again he didn't listen to us, never knew what we were approved for or even asked, and treated us like we weren't able to purchase a vehicle. Hint already preapproved. I've purchased many cars and never have experienced such unprofessional behavior. Not to mention when I spoke with someone at the dealership about his behavior they said he told him the lowest they could do would be a certain amount out the door, which the salesman never disclosed to us, but told my husband he would have to come out the pocket. After my husband told him we weren't paying any money out of pocket the salesman told us we could go somewhere else. The manager there apologized and asked what he could do to but how many other customers will go through this. Unacceptable. "
