The Rogue seats four (but not five) comfortably in two rows, with 60/40 rear seats that fold nearly flat and a cargo bay that expands from only 29 to 58 cubic feet. An optional pop-up underfloor storage compartment offers nets and trays for handy partitioning. Early word on the 2009 Rogue points to excessive wind and road noise, particularly in the back seat, which can detract from its high interior comfort ratings. Limited rear headroom, blind spots caused by a thick C pillar, and the lack of telescopic steering adds to both driver and passenger discomfort on long trips. However, those looking for a stylish and fun ride will not be disappointed. Agile handling and easy acceleration win over drivers more interested in pizazz than practicality.
