The A4 offers drivers a more balanced driving experience as well, since it rides on a new platform that moves the engine back by about five inches, so that it's now located behind the front axle, providing better overall weight distribution. In addition, the steering system has been redesigned for a tighter, more responsive feel. Outside, Audi has made subtle yet significant changes to the A4's design, now highlighted by a longer hood, shortened body overhangs, and an overall sculpted yet sportier appearance.
