2008 Cadillac SRX V6 Review
by Kahz

Awesome SUV

It's a CTS with the body of a SUV. literally. Handling is amazing, power is awesome, comfort is perfect, you can drive this car long distance with no problems whatsoever. The maintenance is a tad high but it is a Cadillac so to be expected really, I do not fault the car for that. If you're looking for a performance SUV that's somewhat on the smalle...

Avg. Dealer Rating: (38 reviews) "I was reluctant to go to this dealer due to the negative comments which I had read. However the experience was entirely different. First they contacted us immediately and set up an appointment which was convenient for us. We were late getting to the appointment, but they immediately and openly accepted us. As I am handicapped, my wife went into their office and handed me the keys. They did not come out and start putting pressure on us. I said do you think they intended us to drive it without one of them present? She went in and all they wanted was a copy of our driver license. We took our time and thoroughly went over the auto. It had so many "extras" that it was fun trying to figure all of them out. We took the vehicle for an extended drive and the driving exceed our expectations. The car was everything they said and more. It was very clean and the motor was perfectly clean. We came back, parked the car, and noticed the vehicle didn't have a back up camera. The owner happened to drive in just then and got out and overheard our conversation. Being handicapped with a steel rod neck, I can not turn it and a camera is essential. He showed us where it was located and how it worked plus some buttons I didn't understand. He was most personable and went out of his way to help us. We said we didn't think the air was cold enough even though it was 90 plus degrees and he said they would check the freon out. My wife found one telephone receptacle not working, something our 16 daughter has to have. He said no problem and he could fix it. We went into his cold building and theu offered us a bottle of water. He asked us what we thought and we said the car had everything except reclinable second row seats which our 16 year old daughter insisted we buy as she loves to recline and listen to her phone. I enjoy classical music which I could have in the front and she could use her phone to listen to her joy. What a pleasure that would be. I asked them what the total price would be with tag, tax and NC license. He gave me the answer within one minute. He also asked if we would like to have a copy of the carfax and within the time it took for copying, we had one. He answered some other questions and even told us if, in the future, we had to have any repairs, they would share their regular mechanics who would do good work at a fair price. I told him I wanted to be honest, and that we had several other cars to see. He graciously understood and said to call them back if there was anything else they could do. We left with a great feeling that we had been served by professionals. I told my wife that their attention was just what I enjoyed when going through the difficult task of purchasing what we wanted in the most perfect car we could fine. I don't understand the negative comments that were included, but I would easily recommend them to anyone who is undergoing this task. Maybe some people like the higher pressure style, but to me it was an enjoyable experience and I thank the gentleman for being able to "read and understand" the approach we wanted. We still have not made up our minds due to those bench second row seats. But I feel, if we do not do business with them, they will be on the look out for the car we desire. Thanks to these guys and I wish them them every success in their business. Most sincerely, Ray PS I had never been to their establishment before and I did not know any of the staff before this time. Avg. Dealer Rating: (24 reviews) "Lets just start by saying that this was a absolute waste of time, I live 3.5 hrs one way from this dealership. information listed on their ad for the 06 magnum srt8 is very misleading. Ad states the vehicle has a showroom like finish incorrect car had scratches down passenger side and over 45% of the car. Rust along the roofline in the drip rails, trim missing from the drip rail, rust bubbling up throughout the paint in several locations on the quarter panel and the rear hatch are. the car was not even detailed like you would expect to see on a dealer lot. underhood was nasty door jams rear license plate area wheels covered in brake dust etc. car was not advertised as having aftermarket wheels nor was it advertised as the wheels scarred, curbed and looking like they were touched up with black sharpie or aftermarket non OEM replacement brake rotors. also when i brought up the car had had a transmission installed in 2015 they acted surprised as if it was new news, after being assured that the vehicle went through a full multipoint inspection and checklist. if that was so how would i find something that they did not know within the toal of 20 minutes i was there? When I contacted them on the phone I told them that I was looking for this specific make and model and that I would be very thorough in looking it over and for them to inform me of anything that may deter me from buying it. first things I noticed after walking within 10ft of the car was rust the powdercoat was rusting away and bubbling from the brake calipers and all the rust I stated above. net thing I do is pop the hood to find a very disappointing utterly filthy engine bay to a engine that's a quart low in oil. i have worked at 2 dealerships in the past here in Virginia as a technician/state inspector and i have to say that this was a very upsetting experience. Not only was the car not as advertised but when i went inside to talk with the salesmen not only was i treated as i did not know what i was talking about and very rudely spoken to but we were interrupted by some women to give the salesman a kiss, other salesmen putting there input in and making remarks very unprofessional. i tried to make a deal with the salesmen even after finding these things wrong with the vehicle but to no avail. they kept stating the car was worth X and they were selling it below market value. But this value of X was also for a car in perfect retail condition not in the condition that it was in. he proceeded to ask if i had heard of laser rust removal and tried to sell me on the car at the price they had. at this time i proceeded to be rushed out of the door like i was some stray dog no handshake no nothing. As i am leaving the dealership i point out that there is an auction sticker from where they had purchased a car still on a vehicle sitting on the front row right as you pull in. overall if i could have gave them a half a star i would have but only for the simple fact that they gave me the opportunity to help other to avoid this place. Overall a very disappointing experience and a very pushy/rude staff and an absolute waste of my time. Sorry if spelling or punctuation is off in this review as i am writing it in a rush on my break.
