Overview

The 2006 Ford Crown Victoria remains largely unchanged from the 2005 model (which also means it remains largely unchanged from the last major revamping in 1979). The large sedan is a rear-wheel drive vehicle, a quality which sets it apart from its competitors, the Toyota Avalon and Nissan Maxima.
The 4.6-liter V8 sounds more intimidating than it is, and probably will not overwhelm too many people with its 224 horses (base model...sport models have up to 239).

Great car. It has 4.6L v8 but still gets 18-20 city and 26-30 hwy! Comfortable, not cramped. The build quality is amazing, especially since its a retired cop car that was taken care of. Its got heavy duty everything. From shocks to front brakes, and even upgraded engine parts and trans. The interior is very nice and simple. All plastic dash so easy to clean and bonus is a vinyl back seat which is great since I have dogs. This car is a blast to drive because of all the power and very nice to cruise down the freeway. Nice and quiet.

Very solid, with no rattles, creaks or noise. Great ride. Performance - Great on the highway, pretty fast. Build Quality - Excellent. Appearance - Now that I have compounded and waxed it, it's great. Cost of Ownership - Buy a gas station. Other than that, super reliable. Fun Factor - No words can describe it... : )

This is indeed the last of the Detroit Dinosaurs. In this case that is a very good thing. VERY comfortable ride, respectable power and 28 MPH. One of the best road trip cars ever made. I'm looking for another one right now only newer.

The car looks great and I was tempted but I did a VIN check on the car and they had bought it from an auction. The auction people had made a note that it started and drove across the lot but the transmission might be slipping.
