The 2006 Rendezvous comes in the base CX or more luxury-oriented CXL trims, in either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Traction control is an option on the two-wheel drive only. A standard V6 engine has changed from the old 3.4 185-hp to a 3.5-liter, 195-hp. The optional 3.6-liter, 242-hp V6 is still available. Though the base model was already pretty well equipped, with power features, air conditioning, and keyless entry, in 2006 it also gets OnStar and a rear parking sensor. The CXL adds a lot more luxury and comfort items, and the AWD version comes with ABS and front-side airbags standard (optional in the CX). A DVD player, navigation system, and heated seats are only available with the CXL. The 2006 Rendezvous comes standard with two rows of seats.
