A tricked-out A6 Avant, the Audi allroad quattro turns the station wagon into an offroad SUV, without giving up the luxury and comfort and space synonymous with the Audi name. The 2005 allroad quattro is the last year for this crossover sports wagon. Despite the seemingly unbeatable combo of quattro all-wheel drive and the variable suspension that tackled almost any offroad or poor weather conditions, U.S. consumers looking for a family vehicle still tended to lean towards SUVs or Audi's own Avant, which had the quattro, but not the unique suspension system.
The only changes for 2005 include getting rid of the OnStar option and making all molding and bumpers body-colored. Offered in a 2.7-liter turbo V6 at 250-hp or a 4.2-liter 300-hp V8, the 2005 allroad quattro exhibits sturdy handling, road-hugging quattro grip, and an elegantly spacious interior. ABS brakes, electronic stability, traction control, and numerous airbag configurations provide safety and security. Package options add heated seats, sunroof, auto-dimming mirrors, navigation system, and memory settings to the already abundant standard features.
2005 allroad owners are generally happy with the power and aggressiveness of the wagon, particularly its capability in the snow, dirt roads, and mountain driving. The four-setting variable suspension is a big plus, as is the comfortable legroom for long trips. Major criticisms center on the gas consumption. The fact that it only takes premium puts a big dent in your wallet, along with costly repairs. Turbo lag plagues the 2.7T, as does sluggish acceleration. The Tiptronic auto/manual shift can feel awkward, particularly when downshifting.

(4 reviews)10/10 great ride. Completely happy with results to be honestl
I love this car because it allows me to transport musical gear very easily, with great speed and ease of handling. However now that it is out of warranty the maintenance costs are becoming intimidating, and the fuel economy is lackluster. To get the best out of the vehicle you must put high test fuel in it.
Nice big car with a superb interior & exterior & with a Com4table seats inside it. Its per4mance is very good. It is fun 2 drive this car. Colour is gr8 & looks good also. If I would get it It would be my best day ever in life.......
