Great car from extreme use to day to day use. Does good in tough weather and is very safe on the road. Good off roaring, great for taking big cargo around or a lot of people. Can tow or carry a bike rack in the back.

Big and fast, Lots of room inside. Built to last. Great engine and mechanics. Withstands a lot of abuse. Will pull a house down. Will tow anything. Comes with lots of toys to play with. Electid 4wd. Drives alike a dream and will demand respect on the road.

Vehicle still is very impressive in looks all though its 13 years old. Interior features are very user friendly. The V10 power plant has all the power one would need while pulling loads. Surprising the gas mileage is not bad for a vehicle of this size and weight. Average MPG while on the road is around 13-14. Only issue we have had is with front suspension. I replace all shocks but we are still experiencing rough jarring when hitting front road pumps.

The reason I purchased this Expedition was for family trips and daily driving. Researching the 7.3L Powerstoke engine, it was, and still is, the hardest working longest lasting engine Ford produced. It is great for road trips and around town as the fuel economy is excellent for a vehicle this size.

I love this truck!! It's huge, but having this much room is addictive. The turning radius kinda sucks, but everything else is awesome. Power is great, V-10 will pull just about anything. It's great to finally be able to have a huge sub box, and carry 4 or 5 people! Gas milage sucks, parking is a pain, but I still love it!!

The 2001 Ford Excursion built on the successes of its freshman year with very few changes. Two trims were available for the 2001 Excursion: XLT and Limited; the Limited's luxury accoutrements now included fog lamps and mirrors with built-in electric turn signal lights, as well as the heated mirrors, leather upholstery, and other goodies.

Buyers could choose rear-wheel drive, or optional four-wheel drive. The Excursion's 4WD option was marketed for suburban safety, though, rather than for all-terrain versatility; you weren't likely to want to take this landwhale off-road.

When it came to roominess, the Excursion gave new meaning to the 'full-size' in 'full-size SUV'. Its overall length was 226.7 inches, with a width of 79.9 inches. The Excursion seated 9, with ample legroom and headroom for all, and had a cargo capacity of 146.4 cubic feet.

In addition to its size, the Ford Excursion offered plenty of power. The Excursion came off the line with a 5.4 liter overhead cam V-8 that delivered 255 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque; buyers could upgrade to a 6.8 liter overhead cam V10, with 310 horsepower and 425 lb.-ft. of torque, or go for even more power with a V-8 turbodiesel option.

The new V-8 turbodiesel was another of the 2001 changes to the Excursion. A 7.3 single overhead cam putting out 250 horsepower and 505 lb.-ft. of torque, this engine was fit for a monster. Or an Excursion?
