Overview

Changes in appearance to the front and rear of the 2000 Honda Passport and the addition of a new top trim are the only differences to the Passport this year. They've modified the grill and headlamps and slightly changed the rear fascias.
It still uses a V6 engine from Isuzu and 6 and can tow about 4500 pounds.
Standard antilock brakes come on all the Passports as does a two-section rear opening that consists of a left-hinged tailgate under a glass liftgate.
The new top-of-the-line trim, the EX-L is a two-tone paint job with fender flares and leather seats (well, leather trimmed seats), a 6-CD changer, and map lights.
Complaints focus around the amount of road noise, especially in the back seats, the cost of the vehicle, and the rattles and squeaks it always seems to have. That said though, most drivers appreciate the car and keep it for a while.

I used the 4wd often living in a mountain town that gets lots of snow. It did great when in 4 wheel, however if I didn't remember or think it needed 4 wheel the chances of slipping we're great. If you live somewhere that receives more than 40 inces of snow a year you may want to reconsider the passport, unless you live in a flat area. The clearance is a positive but I paid for studded snow tires to just be able to get to and from work, a total of hwy 4 miles, safely. The overall comfort of the vehicle is good, comfy seats in the back and front as well as fold down rear seats for easy storage. However, the back end is surprising on how little storage there is for an SUV. I easily put about $45 every month in gas which isn't too bad but could be better for this size vehicle. The pick up and and braking systems are by far the best feature of this vehicle, it will take off and almost stop on a dime. It handles well and with the exception of slow cornering is great to drive.
