Used 1992 Ford Ranger XLT for Sale near Dallas, TX
4 Overall rating
(13 reviews)performance: squirly cuz of the short wheel base, not much power due to 4 cylinder, hate the braking. fun truck to drive though Build quality: its a ford, enough said Appearance: its a classic Cost: dec mpg, not a whole lot of maintence except addin oil Fun factor: rangers ROCK!! super fun to drive!!! except when u get stuck.
Not a bad truck did alot to it, Rebuilt front end, rear axle, all new brakes/lines, tire and rims, brush guard, lights, whips, cb, 4 12 in subs 800 watt amps, head unit Great truck till i totalled it this winter by rolling it into a tree.
great acceleration from a stop light, turns on a dime stopping is great, solid motor, solid frame, great for towing, interior is good exterior some minor repiars style is great it is fun as heck cause it is a 5 speed after all. great gas mileage
The acceleration on this truck is horrid, as well as the braking to it, although the handling is very nice (given the low speed this retains, it's no surprise). This truck has needed a transmission fix, among several other problems, yet has held up after all this time and all that work. It's definitely a trooper. The interior is basic for a truck, and the exterior is unappealing. The gas mileage is average, and maintenance required is high. It is, on some occasions a nuisance to drive, but I find it fun at times. This vehicle also has intrinsic value to me, in that my father owned and drove it everyday to work for many years. I would recommend this as a starter vehicle, but nothing more at this point in time with better trucks on the market.
A basic interior keeps the price down on these light trucks, but the styling is decent for a cheap truck. The exterior is not the prettiest thing to look at, however it has it's charm to a truck enthusiast.
