It's a tank, it's not fast, but it holds it's own in a straight line, cannot corner, leaf sprung all the way around, and gas mileage is awful with only a 3 speed auto. Otherwise it turns a lot of heads and gets a lot of thumbs up, just a great car to cruise in

If you love the Wagoneers, and you can find a good looking/running lower mileage one, there is no reason not to get it! They are fun to drive and the space is great. One does not buy this car nowadays for any other reason but that it looks cool! The high demand for these cars helps them retain and grow in value if they're well taken care of. Especially if you get the even higher in demand 1991 model year, they only made 1560 in that final year!
