The Brazilian-produced Volkswagen Fox was available in four versions for 1990, including the base two-door model, the four-door Fox GL, and the two-door GL Sport. A two-door Fox wagon was also part of the lineup. All Fox models were all equipped with an 81-horsepower, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. A five-speed manual overdrive transmission was standard in the two-door base model and the four-door GL, while the GL Sport and the Fox wagon came with a four-speed manual transmission. Standard features for the Fox were limited, and included power brakes, cloth bucket seats, a rear-window defroster, and 14-inch wheels. Options included air conditioning, a sunroof, and a cassette player. While its standard features were limited, the Fox was popular with drivers, and still is, thanks to its sporty handling, durability, dependability, build quality, and economy. Many drivers reported having little or no problems with the car, even models with high mileage.

I like how she starts every time I turn her over! She is a bit sly since when I first purchased "Fuchseh" I was unaware of the need to have the driver's side seat-belt fastened in order for her to strart...finally figured that one out and she has started ever since! Photo to come....

it weighs just over 2000 lbs., so it's not so good in snow. I guess it has better power than a Smart car, but in the low 30 mpg can't complain. The little fox won a first and a second place plaques at the local annual vw show in Campbelltown Pa

I like that you dont see many on the road but its a pain to maintain. The motor is a 1.8 sohc so its not very powerful going from a vr6 to this. Honestly I cant wait to sell it and buy an audi lol

Back in its day it was an awsome car. It could pull a trailer filled with luggage and five adults in the car easily at 140kph. It is out dated now, but still does the job. If you were to buy it you would need to do lots of work. It is well looked after though.

Apart from the fact that I had to park it on a left hand camber of a road or else the petrol would leak out and it was like driving a fishtank I loved this car. It was bright white and I got it to 90!!!
