New & Used 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid cost?

Prices have softened 2.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,872 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid a good car?

Yes — 4.75/5 from users, and the expert rating is 7.83/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid is a well-rounded compact crossover with a light refresh, a comfortable ride, and easy-to-use technology. It also benefits from a hybrid powertrain that strengthens its everyday appeal, especially if you want efficiency without giving up the familiar compact-SUV formula.

The main trade-offs are its underwhelming off-road ability and limited tech features, and the TrailSport version is not the right fit if adventure driving is a priority. Even so, it remains a strong choice if you want an efficient, practical SUV that is easy to live with.

36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid is presented as a dependable everyday SUV with a proven hybrid setup and a comfortable, easygoing character. The overview emphasizes that it remains a strong choice for buyers looking for an efficient, everyday SUV, and the expert notes reinforce that it is a well-rounded compact crossover with strong overall appeal.

The performance notes also point to a hybrid system that operates smoothly, with nearly seamless handoff between electric and gasoline power. Honda’s description of the 1.5-liter turbo-four says earlier oil-dilution issues have since been remedied, which is a useful reassurance for shoppers comparing used examples.

Honda also includes its first scheduled maintenance visit on the house, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about choosing the right trim and condition, since the TrailSport’s added tire noise and off-road focus may not suit every owner’s needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a TrailSport or any higher-mileage example. Focus on tire condition, cabin wear, and whether the equipment on the specific trim matches what you expect, since the CR-V Hybrid’s feature set changes meaningfully by trim.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TrailSport adds orange badges, Shark Gray 18-inch wheels, Continental CrossContact ATR tires, black door handles, orange contrast stitching, embroidered headrests, and all-season floor mats, while the lower trims do not get those adventure-oriented touches. If you want the most rugged-looking version, the TrailSport is the clear step up, but the content also makes clear that its off-road image outpaces its actual capability.
• Powertrain: The hybrid trims use a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine with two electric motors for 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque, while the lower trims use a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid system also supports regenerative braking settings and one-pedal driving, which is a useful efficiency and drivability advantage.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and traffic jam assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard only above the LX trim, and front and rear parking sensors are standard only on trims above the EX level.
• Infotainment: Every 2026 CR-V gets a 9-inch touchscreen, with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto standard. EX-L, TrailSport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring trims add a 10.2-inch digital driver information display, and Sport Touring models add Google built-in.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid returns 40 mpg combined in FWD form, 37 mpg combined with AWD, and the TrailSport hybrid is rated at 35 mpg combined. The AWD system can send up to 50% of torque to the rear axle, which helps on slippery climbs.

Which 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, TrailSport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point to the hybrid lineup, and it gives you the core hybrid powertrain, the standard 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the efficient everyday character that makes the CR-V Hybrid appealing in the first place. If you want the best value, this is the trim to start with.
• TrailSport: This is the one to choose if you want the most adventure-flavored CR-V Hybrid, with the orange accents, all-terrain tires, and unique exterior and interior details. Just keep in mind that the content says its off-road image is stronger than its actual off-road ability.
• Sport-L: This trim adds the 10.2-inch digital driver display and the richer audio setup, making it a good middle ground if you want more cabin polish without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• Sport Touring: This is the most feature-rich choice, with Google built-in, the Bose premium audio system, and the most complete tech presentation in the lineup. It suits you best if you want the most upscale CR-V Hybrid experience.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard only above the LX trim, and front and rear parking sensors are standard only on trims above the EX level.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without waiting for a dramatic bargain.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,872 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,390, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid's resale value?

The current average of $38,130 sits slightly below last year's $38,925.

That tells you the market has eased a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may also mean future sellers need to price competitively. The year-over-year decline is modest rather than dramatic, so the model is not showing signs of a steep value drop.

Because the CR-V Hybrid is still described as a strong, well-rounded choice with broad appeal, it should remain attractive to used shoppers who want efficiency and practicality. That kind of steady demand can help support resale value even when prices soften in the short term.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid safe?

The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid had not yet been evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at the time of writing.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every model and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, plus adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and traffic jam assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard only above the LX trim, and front and rear parking sensors are standard only on trims above the EX level.

The rearview camera includes dynamic directional guidelines, which is a plus, but the resolution is described as soft. The TrailSport also does not add extra cameras, so you do not get forward-view or side-view angles for trail use.

Should I buy a 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2026 model adds a light refresh and a new TrailSport trim level, while keeping the hybrid’s strong everyday appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this hybrid SUV, the 2026 is the one to target because it adds the refresh and the new TrailSport while still delivering the CR-V Hybrid’s core strengths. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2026 gives you the latest mix of efficiency, comfort, and tech.
