Ford dealerships near me (New Athens, IL)

I attempted to work with several smaller "mom and pop" dealerships but kept getting mislead. I finally found a Tundra that was sold at one of the big player dealership. Ed Morse Ford was great to work with, very transparent and good communication. They held the truck until I was able to get someone to look at it. I'd definately recommend them again as they were very concerned about maintaining a good reputation with integrity.

Bought the car it was very smooth

This was the absolute worst experience. I called, told them I was a cash buyer and was coming in to buy the car. They assured me the car was available and I made an appointment and I drove over two hours from Missouri to Illinois just to be told without them even looking in the comoute4 that the car had sold the day before, what a dishonest, shades company. I’d never recommend them. They were rude and not helpful at all.

I messaged on Saturday and asked if I could come in tomorrow (Sunday) to see the vehicle. The dealership respondent said “yes”. Then later when discussing what time, the same respondent told me I couldn’t come in tomorrow (Sunday) because they are closed. The vehicle had Extensive exterior cosmetic damage, but was listed and priced as being in “Very Good” condition. The vehicle had been listed on cargurus for 44 days, but somehow when they went to pull it around the sunroof didn’t work and the check engine light was on. They called me on my way there to see it to tell me and when I asked why that wasn’t in the listing they said it “hadn’t been seen by the mechanic yet”. 44 days listed and still hasn’t seen a mechanic? Come on, guys. Then the salesman had the audacity to mention what a “good deal” the price was. Two thumbs down.

Great group of people to deal with. Car was in great shape, and the 4-month warranty is assuring. They were very accommodating and we are pleased.
