What’s New for the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray
Not much changes for the Corvette E-Ray, now in its third year. There are some minor changes to the cockpit layout, primarily to accommodate a bigger digital instrument cluster and touchscreen. The new design also incorporates better ergonomics and access to controls, as well as redesigned cupholders that get a literal glow-up in the form of ambient lighting. There are new exterior and interior color options, too.
Design
There’s little to visually differentiate the E-Ray from the regular gas-only C8 Corvette, and that’s largely the point of this sleek and swoopy coupe (or convertible, if you prefer). The fact that it’s a hybrid isn’t necessarily a flex with the target audience. The badging is subtle, along with other minor differences that a bystander is unlikely to notice unless the E-Ray is at a standstill. For 2026, Chevy switches things up a bit by offering a new glass roof that can be electronically set to varying degrees of opacity, optional blue brake calipers, and new Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver paints across the lineup.
Powertrain
The Corvette E-Ray starts out with a familiar power plant, a 6.2-liter V8 borrowed from the gas-only Corvette, and adds an electric motor that powers the front wheels. This is less about the efficiency that makes mainstream hybrid cars popular and more about the instant torque afforded by electricity. Together, the engine and motor deliver 655 horsepower, 592 pound-feet of torque, and the ability to hit 60 mph from a standstill in about two and a half seconds. Thanks to that motor on the front axle, the Corvette E-Ray features all-wheel drive (AWD), the first Corvette to do so.

Interior
Whether you go for the coupe or the convertible, the Corvette E-Ray is snug, yet well-crafted and modern. The E-Ray comes standard with power-adjustable bucket seats, leather upholstery with perforated inserts, and a 10-speaker Bose audio system. Options include upgraded sport seats, memory settings, heated and ventilated seats, a carbon fiber-wrapped steering wheel, premium Nappa leather upholstery, leather trim, carbon fiber trim, contrast stitching, cargo nets, and a 14-speaker Bose audio system.
Technology
The Corvette E-Ray comes with a 12.7-inch digital instrument display, a 14.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, Google-based infotainment software with Google Play app access and Google Assistant voice recognition, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The E-Ray Performance App provides access to instant horsepower and torque data, acceleration and G-force data, and a history of the health and efficiency of the vehicle’s hybrid system. Options include wireless charging and a performance data and video recorder system.
Safety
The 2026 Corvette E-Ray comes standard with a rearview camera, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and a following-distance indicator. Options include a front-view camera, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. As is typical for premium sports cars, the Corvette E-Ray has not been crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
