2026 Cadilac Vistiq Preview - summary

What’s New for the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq

The Cadillac Vistiq is an all-new model from General Motors' luxury marque, but as the fourth electric SUV the brand has introduced (and the fifth EV overall), it's hardly alien. The Vistiq shares the same Ultium platform which underpins its stablemates (in addition to the Acura ZDX, Honda Prologue, and more), and it launches in four recognizable Cadillac trims: Sport, Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Platinum Sport.

Design

Cadillac's EV design language is by now established, and the Vistiq makes the most of it, quite literally. Cadillac reps shared that the new SUV wears the largest "shield" grille of any Cadillac EV to date. It still manages to appear sleek, though, thanks to its glassy front end and a profile which tapers near the rear. Two distinct grille treatments are on offer, one for the two Sport trims and one for the Luxury half of the lineup. 21-inch wheels are standard, but Luxury trims sport 22-inch wheels, and there's an available 23-inch option as well.

Powertrain

The Vistiq's power specs blow those of its smaller siblings right out of the water. Its standard two-motor setup leverages a 102-kWh battery, much like the Cadillac Lyriq's, but here it generates a total of 615 horsepower and 649 pound-feet of torque. Cadillac says the Vistiq can cruise from zero to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds, and with its dual motors, it's all-wheel-drive (AWD) by default. Range is currently estimated at about 300 miles. Drive modes include Tour, Sport, Snow/Ice, and the customizable My Mode. The Vistiq offers one-pedal driving for those who are so inclined, and it allows drivers to adjust the level of regenerative braking using a steering-wheel-mounted paddle.

Chassis damping control is a standard Vistiq comfort feature. Further options include GM's Air Ride adaptive suspension and an active rear steer feature for better maneuverability, both of which become standard at the Premium Luxury and Platinum trim levels.

2026 Cadillac Vistiq Preview - interior

Interior

In its standard layout, the Vistiq is designed to seat seven, with a three-person bench seat in the second row. Second-row captain’s chairs are also available, dropping capacity to six. Either way, the first and second rows each get a dedicated 8-inch "command center" to independently manage the five-zone climate control system.

A panoramic sunroof is standard, as is a fixed moonroof just for third-row passengers. Road-noise cancellation in all three rows is standard. The Vistiq's cabin also features ambient lighting with three personalization settings. Interior storage includes side pockets as well as a pass-through in the center console, but no "frunk."

Technology

A 33-inch LED infotainment screen crowns the Vistiq's dash-yes, separate from the front row's 8-inch climate control screen, which is stationed down by the console. A 23-speaker AKG sound system featuring Dolby Atmos surround-sound technology is standard. The Vistiq is capable of bidirectional charging, often known as vehicle-to-home (V2H). With the proper equipment, it can essentially serve as a backup generator for your house.

Safety

Super Cruise, GM’s hands-free highway driving-assist system, is a standard offering on the Cadillac Vistiq. Purchased new, the vehicle comes with three years of Super Cruise, after which the owner will have to purchase a subscription to retain the service. Other standard advanced driver-assistance features include blind-zone steering assist, forward collision alert, and side bicyclist alert, and Night Vision and an augmented reality (AR) head-up display are among the options.
