What’s New for the 2025 Toyota Tundra
For 2025, the Toyota Tundra gets a few tweaks. The SR5 trim now comes standard with power-adjustable front seats, while the 1794, Platinum, and Capstone trims feature standard massaging seats. Additionally, the TRD Rally package and Tow Tech package are available, as is a newly available power tailgate.
Design
The Tundra features an imposing front-end design, dominated by its massive grille. Trims for the 2025 Tundra are SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone. The SR comes with 18-inch steel wheels. The Platinum adds 20-inch wheels, and the Capstone adds 22-inch wheels.
Powertrain
The Tundra offers a lineup of exclusively six-cylinder powertrains. The standard twin-turbo V6 makes 358 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque in the SR trim. In all other trims, this engine makes 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque.
Power is routed to rear-wheel drive (RWD) or available four-wheel drive (4WD) through a 10-speed automatic transmission. When properly equipped, the Tundra is capable of towing up to 12,000 pounds. It has a maximum payload capacity of up to 1,940 pounds.
The most efficient version of this powertrain is the SR base version with RWD. It returns fuel economy of 18 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 20 combined. The upgraded V6 with 4WD returns 17 mpg city, 22 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined.

Interior
Standard features in the 2025 Tundra SR include push-button start, automatic climate control, and remote keyless entry. Available features at higher trim levels include synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and more.
Technology
The standard infotainment system in the 2025 Tundra is an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. This infotainment system has an advanced voice client and can respond to complex commands as well as prompts such as “Hey, Toyota.” The Tundra also comes standard with three USB ports and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Available tech features on the Tundra include a fully digital instrument panel, wireless device charging, two wall-style power outlets, a JBL premium audio system, and an upgraded 14-inch touchscreen.
Safety
The Tundra is a safe and high-tech truck, and it comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of standard driver-assistance features. These include automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and traffic-sign recognition.
Available driver-assistance features include front and rear park assist, a 360-degree parking camera system, a head-up display, rain-sensing wipers, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
