What’s New for the 2025 Porsche Panamera

Porsche refreshed the Panamera for the 2024 model year, so this year’s lineup needs few changes, though it’s typical for trim levels to be phased in gradually after an overhaul. That’s why the Panamera GTS is new for 2025, boasting a twin-turbocharged V8 engine that provides a powerful and sophisticated driving experience.

Design

Though the Panamera saw updated styling for 2024, changes are subtle; the car’s low, muscular stance is still by far its defining feature, with a raked fastback-style roofline and a long nose. The Panamera is available in a wide range of factory colors, as well as a custom paint program that offers up virtually any hue. It rides on standard 19-inch wheels, though a number of 20- and 21-inch designs are available, with custom finishes.

Powertrain

The Porsche Panamera comes standard with a 2.9-liter turbocharged V6 engine rated for 348 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and the choice of rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). The new Panamera GTS boasts a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine rated for 493 hp and 486 lb-ft. As of this writing, the EPA has only published fuel economy ratings for V6-powered Panamera models, with estimates of 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Interior

Inside the Panamera’s big, sophisticated cabin, you’ll find seating for four. Front seats come in a choice of comfort or sport buckets, and rear passengers can be treated to their own entertainment system. The Panamera is available in a wide range of interior finishes, including various grades of leather upholstery in plenty of colors.

Technology

The 2025 Panamera lineup features a 12.6-inch configurable digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Other standard features include voice recognition, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and a 10-speaker audio system. Buyers can choose options such as a 10.9-inch touchscreen for the front passenger with video streaming, a rear-row entertainment system, and premium Bose or Burmester stereos.

Safety

Though the Porsche Panamera has not been crash tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which is common for cars in this segment, Porsche supplies plenty of safety features.

The Panamera includes adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, front parking sensors, rear parking sensors, driver-attention monitors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Available features include a surround-view camera system, a semi-automated highway driver-assist system, lane-change assist, night vision, adaptive headlights, and blind-spot monitoring.
