What’s New for the 2025 Mazda CX-30
There are few to no changes for the 2025 CX-30. It’s one year removed from a 2024 update that included a larger available infotainment system, additional safety tech, and the addition of the Carbon Turbo trim.
Design
The CX-30 is the smallest SUV in the Mazda lineup. It has the look of a hatchback with added ride height, inviting comparisons to the sporty Mazda3 hatchback. There are eight trims for the CX-30, starting with the base S trim, which has 16-inch alloy wheels. All other trims have 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as integrated roof rails.
Powertrain
The base engine in the CX-30 is a 191-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder. For more pickup, there’s a turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 227 horsepower using regular fuel. With premium fuel, it makes 250 horsepower. Both engines route power through a six-speed automatic transmission to all-wheel drive (AWD). The base engine returns fuel economy of 26 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 29 combined. The turbo engine returns 22 mpg city, 30 highway, and 25 combined.

Interior
The CX-30 has a high-quality, feature-rich cabin with seating for five with cloth upholstery. Upgraded trims include features such as synthetic leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a power sunroof, and heated front seats. Other features on upgraded trims include genuine leather upholstery and unique interior accents.
With the rear seats folded, the CX-30 provides up to 45.2 cubic feet of cargo space. With the rear seats in use, there’s 20.2 cubic feet of cargo space. A power liftgate can be found on higher trims.
Technology
The 2025 CX-30 comes standard with a digital instrument panel and an 8-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also comes with a Wi-Fi hotspot and dual USB-C ports. Upgraded trims feature wireless device charging, as well as a 10.25-inch digital display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety
Standard driver-assistance features on the CX-30 include automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, rain-sensing wipers, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Available safety tech includes reverse automatic emergency braking, traffic-sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking camera, and a head-up display.
