What’s New for the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV
New for 2025, the Chevrolet Silverado EV adds the LT trim as well as a more affordable RST package. The big news is the Max Range battery that delivers between 460 and 492 miles of range, depending on the trim. This means you now have three range options: standard at 282 miles, extended at 390 to 422 miles, and max. Though WT offerings were also expanded for 2025, they are currently not available on the Chevrolet.com consumer website. Another new thing of note: While initial Silverado EV WT models were available with Apple CarPlay, neither the LT nor the RST with the up-level infotainment system got this popular feature.
Design
The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV has a bold stance with an upright grille and available illuminated gold bowtie. The truck is only available as a crew cab and short bed configuration. But the Silverado EV gets the Multi-Flex Tailgate with multiple configurations, and it has the available Multi-Flex MidGate, which allows owners to fold rear seats forward and remove the rear glass in order to increase the truck bed up to 10 feet, 10 inches. The LT comes with standard 18-inch high-gloss black aluminum wheels with available 22-inch wheels with aero inserts. RST comes standard with 24-inch carbon flash metallic aluminum wheels. There aren’t currently any available appearance packages on any trim.
Powertrain
The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV will come standard with electronic four-wheel drive (e4WD) and, therefore, has both front and rear motors. The base standard-range WT models, which aren’t available at the time of this writing, deliver 510 horsepower. LT and RST extended-range models will deliver up to 645 hp with Wide Open Watts mode. The max-range RST models will deliver up to 760 hp. The max-range models will get up to 460 miles of range, and Chevrolet says it will be able to tow up to 10,000 pounds with a 1,500-pound max payload. Max towing capability will be found on the LT Extend Range models, with up to 12,500 max towing and 1,800 pounds of max payload. DC fast charging up to 350 kW is available on these electric trucks, and GM estimates you can add 100 miles of range in 10 minutes.

Interior
As you might expect from an electric truck, the interior of the Chevy Silverado EV is minimalist and tech forward with a standard 17.7-inch diagonal center infotainment screen in the LT trim that will house most vehicle functions such as HVAC and headlight controls. In addition to the available Multi-Flex Midgate, which increases truck bed capability, the Silverado EV comes with a power-operated front trunk (eTrunk), with 10.7 cubic-feet of cargo volume. The Silverado EV seats five, and includes available features like heated-and-ventilated seats, heated rear seats, and a fixed Panoramic glass roof on the RST.
Technology
The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV has an 11-inch digital cluster and an infotainment system powered by Google built-in, which means it includes Google Maps, Google Assistant and downloadable apps from the Google Play store. What it doesn’t have is Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. One cool tech feature available on the Silverado EV includes 4-Wheel Steer, featuring Sidewinder, which allows all four wheels to turn in the same direction and move the truck diagonally at speeds up to 20 mph. Silverado EV also offers Super Cruise hands-free highway driving, wireless phone charging, 7.2 kW split-phase AC off-boarding power, a 19.2 kW capable onboard charging module, and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension.
Safety
There is a lot of standard safety tech on the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV LT. In addition to standard automatic high beams, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, there are several up-level safety systems available. This includes enhanced automatic emergency braking, reverse automatic braking, intersection automatic emergency braking, 360-degree camera, blind-zone steering assist with trailering, rear cross-traffic braking, intersection automatic emergency braking, and side bicyclist alert.

Pricing and Release Date
Though initial 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV press releases state the base price is $57,095 with the WT standard-range battery, at the time of this writing, the current base trim available is the LT with the extended-range battery, which starts at $75,195.
