The Q7 is Audi’s flagship three-row SUV, offering a cavernous interior, plenty of tech, and enough luxury to keep the whole family happy. It got a modest update for 2025, but it’s still not quite as posh as its main rivals, the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class. What’s New for the 2025 Audi SQ7
Audi gave the SQ7 a refresh for 2025, which brought updated exterior styling, new daytime running lights (DRLs), OLED rear lights, new bumpers, and a revised rear diffuser. The SUV also has Audi’s new badge design, which includes a unique identifying mark etched into its B-pillar, and the automaker will offer three new colors as well as wheel designs ranging from 21 to 22 inches.
Design
The Q7 lost its rounded, somewhat frumpy shape in favor of a more muscular, boxy build. It has a large grille and air intakes in the lower front bumper for better brake cooling. The sides are clean, but lower flares give the Q7 a beefy profile look.
Powertrain
The 2025 SQ7 features a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 making 500 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. The run from zero to 60 mph takes just 4.0 seconds, and the SUV can reach a top speed of 155 with added-cost options. An eight-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD) are also standard.
Interior
Though updated, the SQ7’s cabin is a familiar and comfortable space. The front seats are wide, deep, and nicely supportive, and top trims get eye-catching diamond stitching with contrasting thread colors. The front cabin is thoughtfully laid out, and the SUV offers good ergonomics for the front passengers. The second-row seats are also quite accommodating, but the third row is best reserved for kids and can be difficult for taller adults to access.
Technology
Audi equips the 2025 SQ7 with a large touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Further standard tech features include Apple CarPlay, HD radio, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, several USB ports, and more. Audi’s infotainment interface is relatively easy to use and runs well on the high-resolution display. The digital gauge cluster is configurable and can be setup to display maps, audio information, and other pertinent vehicle data, allowing the driver to keep their eyes on the road.
Safety
The new SQ7 hasn’t been crash-tested by independent safety organizations yet, but Audi gave it plenty of safety features for added peace of mind. The list includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, pedestrian detection, and more. Available features include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, and traffic-sign recognition.
Pricing and Release Date
As of the time of this writing, the 2025 Audi SQ7 starts at $90,800, while the top Prestige trim climbs to $96,900. Buyers can add a range of options and packages to both models, making it possible to extend the SUV’s price tag well beyond its starting point. The SQ7 is available now.
