2025 Audi Q8 e-tron Pricing, Specs, and Release Date

by Chris Teague

Audi’s electric vehicle (EV) lineup has expanded in recent years, but the Q8 e-tron is one of its more established models. Sporting the sleeker lines of the Q8 SUV, the EV boasts a smooth ride, an upscale interior, and plenty of space for people and gear. That said, it’s more expensive and doesn’t offer the range of some luxury electric competitors.

What’s New for the 2025 Audi Q8 e-tron

The Q8 e-tron gained more standard features for 2025, including Homelink buttons on the rearview mirror, an LED interior lighting package, traffic-sign recognition, and more. Audi App Store apps are now available, and the optional Park plus package now comes as Remote Park Assist Plus.

Design

While similar to the gas-only Q8, the Q8 e-tron has more rounded lines and a unique front end due to not needing the airflow for a gas engine. Audi offers a few wheel choices, including a new 21-inch wheel with the Magnesium package, which is available for the first time in 2025.

Powertrain

The 2025 Q8 e-tron comes with two electric motors making a combined 355 horsepower and 414 pound-feet of torque. A temporary boost mode increases that output to 402 hp and 490 lb-ft of torque. Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD) and a single-speed automatic transmission are standard. Though it’s not a small vehicle, the Q8’s electric powertrain propels it from zero to 60 mph in around 5.4 seconds, and it’s more than capable of holding a corner when asked.

Interior

Five people can ride in the two-row Q8 e-tron. Synthetic leather upholstery comes standard, along with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. More-expensive configurations step up to Valcona leather, and some add ventilated and massaging front seats. Adults can ride comfortably in both rows, and there’s enough headroom for taller folks in the back seat. The front buckets are wide, nicely padded, and supportive, and the back bench offers more support than many competing models do.

Technology

Audi equips a dual-screen infotainment system with a 10.1-inch upper display and 8.6-inch lower unit in the Q8 e-tron. The standard 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster runs Audi’s Virtual Cockpit system, which offers maps, music, and vehicle performance information. The dual-screen system takes some getting used to, but both displays are bright, crisp, and responsive. The system is also packed with great features like SiriusXM radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and more.

Safety

The 2025 Q8 e-tron earned five stars out of five in testing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), but it has not yet been crashed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Standard tech includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, lane-departure alert, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and more. A surround-view camera system and remote parking assist are available.
