What’s New for the 2024 Buick Envision
The Envision picked up a refreshed interior and exterior design for 2024. The look is now closer to the sleek, modern styling the automaker has given its other SUVs in recent years, and inside, Buick updated the infotainment displays with an expansive 30 inches of total screen space between the digital gauge cluster and touchscreen.
Design
The 2024 Envision’s styling is nothing like the Buicks of decades past. It features a slim headlight design and a prominent grille, giving it a sporty look and athletic proportions. Buick offers a range of wheels and exterior trim materials depending on the trim, and all models got the automaker’s new tri-shield logo design.
Powertrain
All 2024 Envisions come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission and either front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). While those numbers look modest on paper, the Envision manages reasonably brisk acceleration that makes it a solid commuter and highway cruiser.

Interior
The new Envision features a handsome cabin with nice materials throughout. Each trim has a slightly different look, with the top Avenir model sporting the most premium materials. There’s a good amount of space across both rows of seating, though cargo space took a slight hit with the recent update, now measuring 25 cubic feet. Even so, the crossover SUV’s friendly ride height and large cargo door opening make it easy to load and unload gear.
Technology
Buick updated the Envision’s infotainment system for 2024, giving it 30 inches of display space between the digital gauge cluster and touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, HD radio, navigation, a Bose stereo, and a Wi-Fi hotspot come standard. Active noise cancellation is also standard, using sound to combat the effects of road and wind noise. Though it sounds simple, the system effectively mitigates external sounds and gives the SUV a legitimately relaxing interior feel.
Safety
The Envision comes standard with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic high beams and a 360-degree camera system. The Envision last received full crash testing from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in 2020. It has also not yet been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Pricing and Release Date
As of this writing, the entry-level 2024 Buick Envision Preferred starts at $37,295. Moving up to the mid-level Sport Touring model pushes the price to $39,795, and the top Avenir trim costs $48,395. Buick offers a range of options, including additional safety equipment, accessories, and more.
