2007 Chrysler Sebring Trims and Specs

Daimler Chrysler brings forth an all new second generation Sebring for 2007. The new model is designed with many of the Crossfire's styling cues, but the Sebring is largely based on the Airflite concept car. Overall, Chrysler delivers a significantly more aggressive presentation.

Aside from design, the new Sebring is highlighted by new engine options, additional standard features, and more interior room. The base model is well-appointed for the price. A CD player, MP3 input, cruise control, air conditioning, tilt/telescope, and power windows and door locks. The base model is not eligible for many of the options available on the higher trims.

The Sebring is powered by a 2.4 liter DOHC inline four, which provides 173 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque. This modest power plant is paired with a four speed automatic transmission. The EPA estimate for Sebrings equipped with this engine is 23/31 mpg.

For the first time in the brief history of the Chrysler Sebring, a full redesign pushes the sedan into a new generations. Since 2001, the Sebring has received many minor updates which kept pace with emerging new technologies and features. The 2007 model's new look is very reminiscent of the Chrysler Crossfire. The Sebring now has more head and leg room, and longer lists of standard and optional features.

The Touring model come equipped with a 2.4 liter DOHC inline four, offering an output of 173 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque. An optional 2.7 liter V-6 upgrade will provide 189 horsepower and 191 pound feet of torque. This replacement will bring the 0-60 time to 8.8 seconds, down from the 10 second neighborhood. Both of these engines are teamed with a four speed automatic transmission. Efficiency with the 2.4 is 23/31 mpg.

The Touring trim offers a few extra standard features, including 17-inch alloy wheels, an upgraded sound system, and LED interior lighting. These items are added on top of full power accessories, cruise control, and an MP3 input jack. The Touring models are able to receive many additional options, including the new Harmon Kardon navigation and audio system which includes real time traffic reporting, a 20GB hard drive, and a USB port. Chrysler refers to this comprehensive system as "MyGIG."

An all new second generation Chrysler Sebring arrives for 2007. Three trim levels are available, but the convertible model will not be offered until the 2008 model year. The sedan has been restyled with a heavy design emphasis on the athletic-looking Airflite concept car, and a more spacious interior has been created.

The Sebring Limited is furnished with many luxury and convenience features, and 2007 also brings an impressive list of options. The Limited is equipped with full power accessories, cruise control, MP3 input, leather seating, power driver's seat, auto climate control, Sirius satellite radio, a Boston Acoustics audio upgrade, and a tortoise-shell interior finish. Heated seats, Bluetooth, and a sunroof are optional, as is a new audio/navigation system called MyGIG. This clever technology includes a 20 GB hard drive, USB connection, and real time traffic reports courtesy of Sirius.

The same 2.4 liter four cylinder engine is included, but a larger 3.5 liter option is exclusive to the Limited. The 3.5 liter V-6 will generate 235 horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque, which sends this Sebring from 0 to mph in 7.7 seconds. The Limited also gets a six speed automatic transmission, 18 inch wheels, and a firmer suspension system.
