Drivers of the 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe seem to really like their cars, raving about how much nicer it is inside and out than the cars driven by friends, neighbors, or relatives. They site its smooth ride and handling, yet complain the slightest bit about engine noise.
The Tahoe has seating for 9, though those in what we used to call the "way-back" might struggle a bit to get in-unless, of course, they are still at the age where they call it the "way-back."
The base engine is a 4.8-liter V8, rated at 285 horsepower at 5200 rpm, and a torque of 295@4000. Fuel ecomomy at this level isn't great, with 16/20 mpg. The bigger engine-a 5.3-liter V8 rated at 295 horsepower-gets slightly worse mileage at 15/19.
Overall, people seem very happy with their Tahoes.
I have a 2006 Tahoe and the oil pressure gauge is at zero it doesn't move at all no matter how long it runs. I changed the oil pressure sending unit a week ago and it was fine until yesterday morning and it was on zero. What could be causing this
Just the other day I noticed my oil pressure gauge at Zero, I pulled over, and turned off the taho for 15-20mins, then checked the oil. The level is at full, and it's nice and clear as I had it changed about a month ago. What is wrong.
The traction control light comes on randomly and I am unable to accelerate beyond 30 mph even if I "floorboard it" while the light is on.
subject says it. I have an engine from a 2096 4x4 1500 and a 2006 Tahoe 2x4 with a blown engine I want to know if it will be plug and play or is it not practical to try?
When I crank my truck the oil pressure tops out at 80, when I drive and get on it a little it shoots down to zero. When I slow down it goes back up to 80. Motor isn't making any strange noises at all. Is it the oil sending unit??
