About 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe
Drivers of the 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe seem to really like their cars, raving about how much nicer it is inside and out than the cars driven by friends, neighbors, or relatives. They site its smooth ride and handling, yet complain the slightest bit about engine noise. The Tahoe has seating for 9, though those in what we used to call the "way-back" might struggle a bit to get in-unless, of course, they are still at the age where they call it the "way-back." The base engine is a 4.8-liter V8, rated at 285 horsepower at 5200 rpm, and a torque of 295@4000. Fuel ecomomy at this level isn't great, with 16/20 mpg. The bigger engine-a 5.3-liter V8 rated at 295 horsepower-gets slightly worse mileage at 15/19. Overall, people seem very happy with their Tahoes.
