2000 Chevrolet Malibu Reviews, Pricing & Specs

I liked it while it worked. Have had nothing but problems with it the last couple of years. Its not worth the money put in to it to keep it running. Overheats, made with a few recalled parts, doesn't feel safe to drive five miles.

accelerates faster than expected and handles nicely. Both front and back seats are comfortable and give good support. Really easy to drive and see out of. It is pretty reliable and really fun to drive. It gets great gas mileage but has a very small gas tank. It is a good looking car, both inside and out. Overall it is a fantastic car :)

It hard to give an impartial review when you love the car you own. I love the gas mileage, interior, trunk is really a really good size. I can fit every and anything in there. This car has never let me down in the last 6 years that I have had as a second owner. Everytime go to start it up it has always done just that.

Pretty good replacement for the Chevrolet Corsica that it replaces. Aerodynamic styling with rain gutter features so water does not drip when opening the door. The side mirrors are reflexible, if in case it is hit by a pole, it springs back to position. All 1997 - 2003 Chevrolet Malibu comes standard with ABS. The car is a decent size and have convenient features on a budget.

White paint means every scratch and scuff shows Performance- Its good accelerating after it gets traction but it chirps on the go Build Quality- Cheap, but easy to take apart whenever I'm running wires for whatever Appearance- Cheap Plastic Interior, It's clean outside because of new headlights, fresh paint and some Konig Tantrum Rims. Some nice body lines, but it really is just a common car.

This car has very good performance. It has a 3.1 L V6 under the hood that pushes around 170 hp. the 0 to 60 is right around 8 seconds, and the handling is very tight and smooth. The build quality in this car is just amazing, the road noise is great even without the SVC turned on. I have not needed to do any repairs other than an oil change in the 5 months that i have owned it. Moving on to the appearce and styling. The exterior styling is very good and the interior is done very well. Overall this is my favorite car so far out of the 6 that i have owned, fun to drive, has good looks inside and out, and has been a joy to own.

Overall this is a pretty good car. My only major complaints are that the cooling system and brake rotors have consistantly been a problem on this car. In the 4 years I have owned it it has been in the garage about once every 6 months. Good value for the money overall.

indestructible, extremely reliable, however it has poor mileage, and the infamous spot of rust that appears near the gas tank on the rear fender. no complaints otherwise, I paid 2 grand for it used and got over 50,000 miles out of it so far. My guess is that it'll keep running well as long as it has some TLC

NOT a fancy car. Will not amaze your friends. Will not get anyone's attention. WILL get you where you need to go every time. -30 or 130 degrees, it will start and will function in exactly the way it is supposed to. Bought mine new in 2000, 149,320 miles later, 0 major problems. One set of brake pads, oil changes at 3000, 2 new rear speakers. People talk trash about the Malibu, but it's just that, a large cavalier. It does what it can!

Not a beauty however, won't be expensive to drive, and at the right price. 4dr 6 cyc automatic transmission, new brakes. AC does not blow cold air I am unsure it it has a leak or what, compressor does kick on.
