The 1993 Dodge Intrepid STD is a big car with a lot of standard features for a base model. Featuring a 3.3-liter, 153-hp V6 with four-speed automatic transmission, this incredibly roomy sedan offers power braking and steering, rear window defrost, power side mirrors, tilt steering, a center console, and tachometer all standard. Tinted windows are also standard to give the already sporty-looking Intrepid an even more stylish look. For safety, dual front airbags are also standard.
ABS brakes, power windows and locks, and air conditioning are all optional, along with cruise control, alloy wheels, and a 3.5-liter, 214-hp V6 for those looking for comfort and speed. Most drivers love the engine power and interior room, but those benefits are often overshadowed by endless mechanical problems.

The 1993 Dodge Intrepid comes in only two trims, base and ES. The ES model differs only in some of its standard features, as it shares the same standard 3.3-liter, 153-hp V6 with the base Intrepid. Marketed as a sportier Intrepid, it comes standard with fog lights and 16-inch polycast wheels. Options are similar to the base model -- a 3.5-liter, 214-hp V6 engine, cruise control, keyless entry, lighted entry, and power everything. Extra options only available in Intrepid ES are a rear spoiler and traction control.
A lot of owners love their Intrepid ES for its interior luxury, plentiful legroom, and huge trunk. It offers a comfortable ride, especially for long trips. Those that have complaints focus primarily on transmission, air conditioning, and other mechanical problems.
