Style and classic lines are what Audi is selling in its 100 series, and even the base model is something special. The 1993 Audi 100 STD is little changed from 1992, save for the addition of a passenger side airbag. Like the other 100 trims, it has a 2.8-liter, 12-valve, 172-hp V6 engine under its hood married to a 5-speed manual transmission. A 4-speed auto tran is optional. Inside, this four-door sedan is about safety, stability and comfort, offering its passengers cruise control, air conditioning, power windows and locks, power driver's seat, heated mirrors, tinted glass, fog lights, a security system, and ABS brakes all standard. That doesn't leave much left for options.
Audi handling gives drivers confidence and control, while maintaining a smooth and quiet ride, say owners of the 1993 Audi 100. Just what you'd want to complement the quiet elegance of the interior. Owners also say it's speedy and that it ages well inside and out. Expensive parts and repairs are always the downside to any Audi.

The 1993 Audi 100S is a front-wheel drive sedan powered by the same 2.8-liter, 172-hp V6 engine that sits in all Audi 100 trims. Unlike the CS, it is not available as an AWD quattro. All 100 trims offer similar standard features, with one or two added with each step up. Overall, it's about high-end quality and durability, so the driver can focus on enjoying the ride.
Standard features on the 1993 Audi 100S include the ABS brakes, cruise control, power windows and locks, and air conditioning, tinted glass, dual front and side airbags, and security system that come on the base model. The S addes a power sunroof (yes, that's standard, not optional) and more extra options, such as leather upholstery and heated seats. The way Audi pampers its drivers with lots of creature comforts appeals to owners, as does the overall style and durability of the 100S, which retains its value over the years. Smooth handling, quiet ride, and decent engine power combine for a wonderful driving experience. Becoming an ATM machine for your mechanic is the biggest complaint owners have when they see the cost of parts and repairs.

Expanding upon the already luxurious 100S, the 1993 Audi 100CS is a front-wheel drive, four-door sedan a cut above your average family car. Adding a touch of sportiness to its high-end style, a lot of features that come standard on the CS would be considered options on comparable cars. The Audi 100 only has one engine for all its trims, which is the 2.8-liter, 12-valve, 172-hp V6 and 5-speed manual transmission. A 4-speed auto tran is available as an option.
Roomy seating for four and a large trunk are just the tip of the iceberg of what comes inside the 100CS. In addition to what already exists in the S sedan (cruise, power sunroof, power driver's seat), the CS adds keyless entry, a power driver's seat with memory, leather seats, intermittent wipers, remote trunk release, and a ski bag in the trunk to tote your skis without getting the car wet. Heated seats and a CD changer are options. Owners love the overall look of the 100CS, its crisp handling, firm suspension, interior layout, and highway driving. Repair costs are its biggest fault.

Obviously, the main difference between the 1993 Audi 100 CS quattro and the regular CS sedan is the all-wheel drive capability that sets the quattro apart. Audi's innovative engineering spreads the power depending on which wheels need it most in a given situation, making the 100CS quattro sedan more stable, more safe, and more sure-footed.
Features are basically the same as in the front-wheel drive CS. A 2.8-liter, 172-hp V6 engine adn 5-speed manual transmission, with dual front and side airbags and 4-wheel ABS brakes. Leather seats, cruise control, power driver's seat with memory, fog lights, alarm system, and leather steering wheel trim are just a few well-thought out comforts Audi provides. The CS quattro's performance impresses most owners, and the overall handling and comfortable suspension for an AWD vehicle are nice surprises. Another plus is the fact that the Audi 100CS shows little wear and tear over the years and never seems to age.

Only available in all-wheel drive, the 1993 Audi 100 CS quattro wagon adds versatility to the already comfortable and elegant family car by adding extra trunk space. Unlike the other Audi 100 trims, which came standard with a 5-speed manual, the quattro wagon pairs a 4-speed auto transmission with the 2.8-liter, 172-hp V6 engine. It represents the first time an auto tran has been put in a quattro vehicle. Four-wheel ABS is standard on all Audi 100s.
As a wagon, it offers all the practicality you need in terms of storage and hauling, but because it is Audi, there are lots of nice luxurious features. As in the CS sedan, the CS quattro wagon offers a power sunroof, fog lights, power driver's seat with memory, heated mirrors, leather seats and steering wheel trim, security system, and air conditioning. The wagon adds a power passenger's seat as well. The quattro is great in the snow, and owners feel the wagon is reliable and durable.
