1970 Ford Mustang Grande Coupe RWDReview

It Is A Very Good Looking Car, It Turns Heads Almost Anywhere, And The Coupe Version Is Very Rare. — I like the car because most of the people i hang around with enjoy the look of the car, the looks we get from others, and the way it sounds, i also enjoy all of that as well. The car will run just as good as a newer mustang with a roar at idle instead of a pur. Pros: It is a nice car to drive, it really turns heads and i've had lots of people ask if it is and 05 or newer. Any TLC is very cheap, and didn't take long. Cons: The MPG is very low, the TLC seems to be almost every weekend. |

Great American Muscle Car, For A Reasonable Price — Great looking car, great gear sound. You need to get some bucks if you wan't to mantaing a good looking Mustang over the years. Mustang 1970 is a unique pice of work from Larry Shinoda, for me is one of the best looking mustang of history, nowadays there's not a lot of this cars out there. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Grate power, good looking car, gear sound it's amazing Cons: poor stability, bit roomy backseats, if you don't like noisy cars this is not for you. |

1970 Mustang- A Trail Horse For The Ages — Performance- very good- strong pull in 1st gear to 4800 rpm, shifts into 2nd at 55 mph, and covers the 1/4 mile in15 sec. This is a bone stock cast iron Windsor, with high flow intake and headers / H pipe for exhaust. Build quality- built in Feb 1970 in Methuen NJ, it is typical of "Detroit quality" for the era... mediocre at best, but anvil tough design and materials. Appearance- good straight rust-free condition, but needs fresh paint and some door dings removed. Interior immaculate, eat off the "show-car custom" engine. Exterior styiling? This was the last Ford car designed by Larry Shinoda, who penned the immortal 1963 Corvette split window coupe.' Nuff said. Cost of ownership- dirt cheap for the fun factor, plus the car has increased in value by 15% since bought in 2008. Fun factor- booming exhaust note and bags of low end torque make it priceless; my 1st car in high school was a 1970 coupe purchased in 1972 for under $2500. (I have $13K in the "new" one). Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: it's a classic that wins at car shows Cons: the fule economy could be better |

Yellow Boss — really fast in a straightline .70's oversensitive power steering not cool when agressively going through the gears. gas mileage not a consideration. the cars function is to look and sound great while launching from one stop light to the next. which is does great. factory rated @ 290 Hp was low and engine redlines @ 8000rpms Pros: kick to drive ,good investment Cons: not a great car for hot days or long trips very load at 70mph |

The car doesnt just look good though. it sounds amazing and is a blast to drive! Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: 347 stroker, 6 speed Cons: kinda old |
