I bought this car new and have driven it continualy every sence. It is a 1966 Mustang Fastback GT K-code with Rally-Pac and 4 speed. It is stock and still goes great. I had the car repainted in 2004 to the original color. Hubert Smith

Great acceleration, modified and lightened extensively, lots of power and fun with a four-speed transmission, looks are unique with so many mods, etc., cheap to own and insure. 45 years of working on it off and on. Tons of work but worth the effort.

This was my first car in High School. I kept it stock except for the wheels. Factory Air. Wasn't the fastest car but she was a looker. This car is a classic, wish I still had it in the garage.

This car is fantastic. It has been in the family for almost 40 years. Brief history, my grandfather bought it for my father when he left for college in 1971. My father kept it even when it deteriorated. In the mid 90's when my brother and I turned 16... my father made the wise decision to put money into the car instead of buying us a honda civic - licke everyone else. Remains in the family and has no price tag. Fastback 2+2 model. 289 V8 with a an addition of dual ehaust, 4 barrel intake, GT wheels. It is a cruise-o-matic 3 speed automatic (slap shifter) also known as the green dot drive. Parchment leather interior, fm radio with cassette (need to be replaced). 240,000 miles Two rebuilt motors and two rebuilt transmissions - we don't exactly drive it slow. Not the fast car performance wise, but not too shabby either. Handling is a bit suspect, a product of its era. Not too heavy wich helps a great deal. Added disc breaks to the front which has been pretty helpful. Even though it is not modern - the simplicity makes it. Still better performance than the great majority of vehicles on the raod today. A pure joy to drive. British Racing green in color and rare at that. For every 1 Fastback made there were 4 convertables and 16 coupes. So it is a bit rare and the color makes it even more so. Bottom Line... it is a HEAD TURNER!

Restored car with my dad. Styling inside and out is classic and beautiful. Interior is cramped, but that doesn't matter. Performance of the Base Coupe with a V8 doesn't live up to the looks of the car. The stock suspension, brakes, and steering sucks. 289 V8 has so so performance but is let down by the 3 spd. Auto Tranny. Fuel Economy is non existant. Driving the car somewhat frugally only returns about 12 mpg. Like any old car, there is always something to be fixed. However, all shortcomings are overcome simply by the coolness of the car

fast, stylish, easy to work on

One of the best cars made ( at least for a 16 year old boy in high school ) It brings back so many great memories. Someone has taken great care of this iconic vehicle. Thanks for the look

The Mustang is stable and steady on the road, it just huuummms along. Easy to set back and enjoy the drive. Not a car you get in a hurry to get anywhere in. But a pleasing experience. Driver coupes can be had well under $10,000 and fastbacks will start around that number.

Everyone knows that a 66 GT Convertible is just plain fun. To review an American icon any further than those that precede me would just be silly. I bought the car for $250, 30 years ago and spent the subsequent 3 years painstakingly restoring it myself. I'm pretty proud of it in case you can't tell.

She drives like a 40 yr old car, she stops like a 40 yr old car, she smells like a 40 yr old car and she sounds like a 40 yr old car but I absolutely love her! It's a real head turner and not one person hasn't said it looks cool. It's a lot of fun to get out for a cruise on the weekend.

The car was a GT Clone that actually had a 302 ci motor in it. The car came with the factory 3 speed but got transformed into a 5 speed so it had a little more power to it. The wheels came off of i believe a 2001 or 2002 gt mustang they were a great fit. Miss the car tho hopefully getting another 1 soon.

Hauls ass in a straight line. It has GT brakes, so it stops, like, RIGHT NOW! It corners OK, it could use anti sway bars. Built solid as a rock. Downright dependable, easy to work on. This car was built when American cars were THE cars to own. Nice styling, it has Recarro seats in front and US Cloverleaf Mags all around. Mileage depends on the way U drive it, anywhere from 9 to 18 mpg. It's fun to drive and people remark on it where ever I go...

This car has much sentimental value. It was a weekend car and garage kept. The odometer hasn't even hit 100,000 original miles yet. All original, leather interior, optional power steering, lots of extras. Love it!!!

This has been my car since high school, and I've had the pleasure of driving it across the country as well as using it for an every day driver. It's stock (almost) with a 289 4V, 4 spd, and dual exhaust. It has been idle for a few years now waiting on new ball joints, and I plan to replace all of the bushings and rubber to improve the handling.

This a very awesome car. Handles great without hesitation. Is garage kept year round no squeeks or rattles. Stylish leather seats with racing seat belts. Low maintenance. This car is a dream to drive. A real eye catcher. Very fast !

Excellent performance..sporty..fun...overall great car and fun to drive. Brakes are good. Interior is comfortable but its really not a 4 seater. Big trunk and very sporty exterior. The most fun i have had driving in a long while.

the car I drive now is a Ford Mustang. It is easy to drive and work on. She holds the road well and moves good in trafic and speeds up fast. For a six cilander it runns just as good as my first Mustang @89 did. I feel in love with the first 6 model I saw at the age of 15, ever since then I always wanted on, and now I do. In time it will be as good as new. Then some day my daughter will own it.

had a six cylinder but took it out and put in a 302 XXX long block with a hypereutectic pistons, 4 bbl carb, long tube headers with dual exhaust. still has a 3 speed automatic transmission that i wana replace eventually. suspension now needs to be beefed up and switched from 4 lug to 5 lug. 43 year old car so it has its issues but overall...awesome.

Schweet. This car is an icon. It is beautiful, 289 power and a hot paint job. You can't beat 60's detroit steel. We got an awesome deal on it. It was restored back in 1996 and we are only the third owner of the car. Too hot for words.

A rare beauty with 4-sp, A/C, Style Steel wheels, visiblity group, 4-barrel. What can you say? It's a classic. Even Chevy fans say it looks good!

Amazing car, but its like a child, you have to take care of every little thing about it...a labor of love

This car has been an amazing part of my life. It's a real ego booster and is so much fun to drive. You really do just feel awesome sitting behind the weel. It's needed some repairs, but that's to be expected from a car that's almost fifty years old. I've had to replace the engine and the clutch, and I am in the process of replacing the interior of the car. Even if it looked horrible though, it's still a car with spirit and attitude. There is no power steering or brakes, but as soon as you get used to that, it's a breeze to drive. Of course, in today's horrible gas price world, mileage leaves something to be desired, she only gets on average 12 miles to the gallon. I've definately spent more on it than I bought it, or could sell it for, but with a car this amazing, who cares? The only serious drawback for me is that it has no air conditioning. That's tough in the summer.

this is going to be the quickest car around. it is getting fixed and it will be black and silver it only has one draw back and that is the cost of gas it is going to be the best car and the most fun car i will ever own

it was a fun car to drive but hard to get parts to maintain it. not meant to be a daily driver like I did!

The thing I liked about this car is that it's a head turner and a comfortable ride for the age of the car and the thing I dislike about it is that it's missing that roar of a muscle car.

I like everything about this car! The looks, the sound, the feel, it's all exactly what I wanted out of an old muscle car. It's fun to cruise with my friends and it leaves me with something to play with on the weekends!

These cars are so versatile. They can be the show car you always wanted or the daily driver to work or the race car you take to the drags to the 6 calender first car you want to give kids . Either way you have a cool car!

Put a 302 in it, and love it, awesome first car, wouldnt have any other kind

I love this car, it's a true classic. 450 Horses and it's a beautiful machine. 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds with racing tires.

it was a great ride, expecially learning what it was like without power steering or power breaks

This car was signed over to me on my actual birthday. My father did so saying, "I always want my son to have at least a car." I have done various bits a pieces of work on this car and it still isn't LOOKING so good. The car RUNS like a dream and even after sitting outside for a whole winter, she started on the first try.

runs beautifully now. but it has had an engine fire along with other problems. the engine purrs. beautiful paint and interior.

Dream of a first car. Loved to drive it in the warm weather. Step on the pedal and off it went. It got to the point where I was putting too much into restoring so I had to give her up.

this car is one of my favorites personaly it is my best posesion. Right now I am fixing it up. It also does not cost much to own except for parts. And if it ran I would be driving it everywhere

A very nice car for its age, has some quirks because of a previous owner but I am slowly fixing those problems.

IT was awesome, stunning and it would blow your mind easily it was loud fast and it was exhilarating with every touch of the throttle there wasn't anything bad about it one time or another it was basically stunning to ones eyes.

This car has awesome acceleration and is ok on gas mileage. My '66 mustang is has a 289 and the cylinder are bored out. I have a racing tranny and have around 280 hp all in all this is a pretty nice car!!!

Almost nothing on this car is stock anymore

This is a classic 1966 Mustang Coupe Deluxe. Complete with original Pony interior. It has the matching numbers 289 with a T-10 5-speed manual. Great classic needs paint but everythong else has been restored.

didnt like the automatic tranny...but its a nice driver. the mustangs in 66 weent dangerously fast yet, so nice car to let your new drivers learn on. big, sturdy frame
