It took a very long time to finish it a little over 3 years. A car like this, are never done any ways. It has a 355 with candfield heads and has about 400hp, 12 bolt 3.73 and a 700r trans with a 3000 stall. It was a frame off, everything came off and was cleaned or painted and put back together. Loved this car overall as my fifth Camaro I've owned. After going thru everything it ran and looked great winning trophies every time I entered it in car shows. As with most classics you have to be careful where you drive and park so it's not an everyday car but lot's of fun when you drive. Pin yourself in the seat acceleration, not so good braking or cornering. Great cruising summer car!Jun 12, 2013

2/2012 Just put my optional drive train in it for a while. 396 / Saginaw 4 sp. crashbox. OH what joy. Pure good looks. Love to watch the NOx'ers drool. The bucket (w/o headrests) seats are very comfortable to me, but then I'm only 5'8"/150 lbs. Driver side floorboard irritating to passenger as part of it was driven 1 1/2" into the foot area years ago to get Dougman headers on it. Stability and stance are great, partially because the rear tires are mounted on "deep dish" station wagon rims (w/original hub caps) and the front is on early 70's chevy smoke grey 5 spoke mags. I bought this used in 1970 and it has been and is a real joy to have. It's still a driver and will stay so. I'm retired, so I really get to enjoy it now.Nov 12, 2011

Performance - The engine is a 454 from a pickup with long tube headers and Edelbrock carburetor. Build Quality - Some of the trim pieces have come off inside and outside. Appearance - The driver side door is a little warped and there is some surface rust under the car. Cost of Ownership - We are going to have to put a lot of money into this car before it is road worthy. Fun Factor - The transmission is set for drag racing so it is pretty fun but it does not have enough power to get it to go fast enough.Jun 29, 2011

I built a little 355 that has too much torque for the mono leaf rear. The wheel hop has busted the 4 speed, & is about to do a number on the rear end. I've done everything but the paint, I mean everything. Started out with a gutted back-half with every line & wire in boxes that someone else took apart. Exterior is complete, interior is painted waiting on upholstery. Very fun to drive, especially since I haven't had a license from 1998 to present. I have escorted the local law enforcement through my small town & into my driveway a few times. Always just enough ahead for me & a licensed friend or relative to be standing around laughing when they pull up. Until I see a photo of me behind the wheel, I'm not the one driving, EVER..... Original owner. looks like new inside and out. Runs like when I drove it off of the show room floor from Goods cevy in Alameda. it is fun to drive. Used as 2nd car for wife to shop with. Has been in garage most of its life. Cost of ownership is almost nil. No smog check required. Gas milage 19 in town and 21 on the road. Has 327 orig engine with 142,000 miles. Has aftermarket ignition system but original dist available. Has aftermarket power brakes from a 1998 chevy. has a center console that has been modified for an aftermaarket airconditionar that has since been uninstalled. reason for selling? wife is now 84 years and I am 78. never drive camero any longer and dont need two cars anymore. camero has been sitting in garage most of the time for the last 10 years.Oct 24, 2009

67' RS/SS 427 Camaro. 500/500. Built for straight line speed while trying to maintain street manners. Owned since 83'. Many modifications through the years but retains all original sheet metal including original floorpans. Its a big hotwheels car, looks fast sitting still. This car was great back in day and still is but needs to be restored, engine and transmission good for being 2 speed power glide. Lots of looks and handles well for 1960's suspension technology. Starts on first turn on key deluxe black interior with white seats. Deluxe gauges and tachometer. Bought for 7,000 worth 12,000 in current condition. May 18, 2008
